(((((((Julie)))))) So sorry to hear you had such a rotten day. Be careful about mixing the painkillers with the alcohol though ..... you could have a very nasty reaction from that, not to mention that you might trip and sprain the other ankle (lol).

I also had a bad experience today. I went to pick up a few things at a local shopping centre and I brought my umbrella in case it rained. After I made my first purchase, I put my umbrella into the bag I had. Sat down on a bench in the hallway to rest my feet and when I got back up, I picked up my purse and forgot the bag beside the chair I was sitting in. Not 5 minutes later, I realized my mistake and ran back to where I had been sitting -- bag was gone! Checked with the lost & found, customer service, security -- nothing.

Now can someone please tell me what the heck a thief is gonna do with a hot pink umbrella with a wooden handle shaped like a duck's head and a white girdle in a size 2X? It never ceases to amaze me what people will stoop to, as long as they get something for free! LOL

Hey, good news folks! I guess whoever took my bag had 2nd thoughts about it or else they didn't like the contents (lol). They returned it to the store today and since my phone number was on the receipt, the mall called to let me know. I'm so happy that I'll be getting my favourite umbrella back as it was a gift from my Mom that I got many, many years ago. And bonus -- I now have TWO brand-new girdles and four pairs of knee-highs - ha-ha-ha-ha :^O

Ha! Ha! I remember buying one for DD's wedding. It was in this box about 5"x2"--it looked like an anklet. The salesgirl said quite seriously to me "It stretches". I said, "It would have to, wouldn't it?"

I crammed myself into one for each DD's weddings. I thank God, seriously, that for 7 hours in a row, I did not need the rest room. If that thing had had to come down at any point in the evenings it would not have gone back up! There was so much elastic in that thing I could have taken out a good sized picture window if I had not been careful taking it off. Ahhhh memories....

:^O I've having a mental picture of that thing flying through the glass in the picture window and wrapping itself around the head of some poor, unsuspecting fellow who just happened to be walking by .....

Actually, the one I got is quite comfortable and it helps support my lower back too, which is a real treat when you arthritis in your verbebrae. The trick is to buy one which is 1 or 2 size larger than you would normally wear for other clothing.

Oh that was where I went wrong--mine was not 1 or 2 sizes larger. I had a lovely sheath that I wanted to look great in. When I look at the pictures now, it seems my face is awfully red...Ha! Ha! I probably needed air!
