TOB how is your Mother doing? I think of her often, and how brave she is.

Christine, it is early where I am--about 8:00, but I will be off for a bit while I serve dinner.

I hate that I have to leave--some of my favourite people are gathered here!

My mum apparently has only 2 more radiation treatments (so my sister says on Facebook) and then she is done. She is tired, but still fighting with all she's got!

She's hoping to come visit me the first week of July if it's okay with her oncologist...which just happens to be my week off! No coincidences 😉

No coincidences....just answered prayers and God's loving will! It will happen, TOB! And when you see her, you will put your arms around her, close your eyes, and feeeeeeeeeeel His presence. 🙂

Oh she's a fighter all right - this has been going on (off and on) for 15 years.

In my job, I set up grief support group meetings. I also have to attend the meetings just to make sure they all have what they need and take notes for the leaders.

One of the bereavement recovery leaders/counsellors is a beautiful Christian lady. I attended one of her meetings for the first time last week. What an amazing way to open a grief meeting - I encourage you all to do this tonight...it will feel like a soul cleansing...

She starts with dimmed lights and soft music. Her voice is soft and gentle as she asks everyone to close their eyes and say a silent prayer. After about 5 minutes, she asks everyone to keep their eyes closed, then asks them to put their own arms around themselves and gently squeeze.....

...as she tells them, "You've just been hugged by Jesus."

Oh my Lord....the sobbing! The tears of grief, joy, love...and hope! The floodgates opened! Very moving! I did it with the group, and I confess, I was a flood. But oh, the feeling of peace..overwhelming, wondrous peace....
