Nancy, good luck with your appointment-hope you hear all good news, and are able to celebrate with a lovely glass of wine. I know that every once in awhile you miss that "ignore" button. Often I have missed it too, I write pages and pages of quotes--explain what I REALLY know happened, am about to hit "post" then I see you have posted, summed up the situation perfectly, and I can hit "delete". You also give me a good chuckle at the same time. Perfect.

Nellie...great poem (but then again aren't all of your poems great :-x) I too am enjoying Facebook as it has connected me with family and friends across Canada. Today on my page I found the verse..."Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent, and discerning if he holds his tongue. Proverbs 17:28 " Do you think that applies to 'fingers' as well?? 😄

Things are going well here. My aunt and cousin have flown up from the US to keep us company until my sister returns. We have shared some great laughs and my mum seems to have perked up somewhat. I have been driving in this city of one million to drs appointments and even shopping. (Mum has been using a wheelchair whether she likes it or not). She even wants to go out for supper tonight. Not bad for this prairie gal. (The fact that my sisters van is a 2008 and only 10 days old worries me a bit!) Her appointment yesterday was a positive one.

Thanks for the great update TOB. Wonderful news that the appointment was positive.

So glad there were great laughs and good for your Mom using the wheelchair. I understand her reluctance--she sounds like one independent Lady and it must be huge for her to give a concession to her being not her usual strong fiesty self.

Nellie--what stunning work! I am glad she has dropped the sciences and is in art. (Not easy for parents, I know). She has amazing range. I especially love "Edge of the World", "Freedom", "Flying" and "The Willow Knows".
