Welcome to a place where the BIBLE can be discussed rationally, intelligently, and positively without unnecessary argument!!
Welcome to a place where prayer can be requested and encouraged!!
Welcome to a place where positive and encouraging thoughts from scripture can be shared in a caring and loving way!!
Welcome to a place away from all the arguments, recriminations, and negativity of the outside world!!
Welcome to a place of rest and safety!!
Welcome to a place where Philippians 2:3 is practiced: "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves."
Welcome to this Christian thread.
(Please leave all aggression, bitterness, and philosophy outside the door and please wipe your feet before coming inside!!)

I live in my own little world. But it's OK... They know me Here!

Eph.6:10-17.

((((((Christine, Nancy and Sallygirl)))))) know you may not see this hug for awhile, and Sallygirl, if ever, because I know this is not a thread you frequent, but just want to say I am proud to have "met" you.
(((((((Kim))))))) my email to you got returned. Just wanted you to know I hold you in my prayers.
(((((((Nellie))))))) Our priest was talking about the need for Agape love. To love our neighbours without expecting anything in return, including becoming members of our Church. Even if we never have a return, to just be an example of what living in God's love means. It made me think of you. One of the things that prodded me to find a church after all these wandering years was you. You are such an example of what a Christian should be. I loved your post on being a member of your church.
Does anyone here have contemplative prayer at their church? Our priest is trying to start a before work group.
Prayers for those that need them.

Is the concert tonight? If so, you have a great time.
Weather--warm enough to wear just a heavy sweater until about 3:00 P.M.--then the wind picked up and it seems much colder.
(((((Hugs))))) to all that need them.

"And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of his hand."
I know you are in the palm of his hand, and shining like the sun.
Hi to all who are here or lurking. Hope you have a good evening.

I don't know Saturday, and don't know where this offer was made, and I am just guess a bottle of CC is Canadian Club,
but you sound angry and hurt so I am replying to your post here.
I know you had a battle at one time because you have referred to it. You had the strength and will to win, and you are to be congratulated on that victory.
Again, I don't know the details, but if Saturday KNEW you had struggled with this problem, then threw a remark like that in your face (again, if I have interpreted the "CC" correctly) then I think it was a very low cruel blow.
I can promise you that I don't know who Saturday is.

I think a person who will kick somebody where they are vulnerable hurts themselves as well by stooping like that, but even knowing that doesn't make the kick any less lethal to the person kicked.
As for friends, or friends of friends, or a friend knowing this poster, do I wish I could pray, or wave a magic wand and no one would ever be cruel again? Yes, but I don't have that power. All I can do, is agree it should not have happened and now (to be light about a bad situation) offer you a hug--if you don't think it will ruin your reputation.:-)

I fly home Tuesday - my computer time here has been few and far between.
I'm hoping that my life will return to some sort of 'normalcy' soon.

Glad you will be home soon. I know the stress and your loss can be hard on your health and that you have to be concerned about that. Hoping you find time to be kind to yourself and you are not given any nonsense from your supervisor. Take care of yourself, my friend.:-x

OK, just had my morning devotion and wanted to share something that a friend sent and 'it speaks to me' ... God is good...all the time! God be with you in whatever the day may hold.
The song ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElISFieaukc
The lyrics ... Bring the Rain
I can count a million times
People asking me how I Can praise You
with all that I've gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You
Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It's never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on You, oh Lord
My only Shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times
So I pray
Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain
I am Yours regardless of the clouds
that may loom above
because You are much greater than my pain
You who made a way for me
suffering Your destiny so tell me whats a little rain
Holy, Holy, Holy
Holy, Holy, Holy
is the Lord God almighty
is the Lord God almighty
I'm forever singing
everybody singing
Holy holy holy
you are holy
you are holy

Do not assume approval or disapproval from my silence.
