Good afternoon everyone ... :-x

I hope this day finds everyone well ....

I had to go back a bit to find this thread ....

Just wanted to pop in and say hi ... so Hi everyone....

Wanted to share a thought or two that maybe someone else would enjoy ...

I was thinking about a very special person .... one who I would guess carries a lot of burdens and yet spreads so much joy ....

a young lady ....

I have known her since she was a little girl ....

I remember a time when she was singing a very special little hymn to herself ... or so I thought ....


Jesus , Loves me , this I know ....
For the Bible tells me so ...
Little ones to Him belong ...
They are weak but He is strong ....

She would sing this old hymn and hum it daily as long as I had known her ....

I asked her one day many years ago just why she sang it so much ....

the answer she gave was most interesting ....


I am planting ..... she said ...

Planting .... ??????

yes .. planting ....

I heard a man speak ... that if I planted a little bit of the truth ... God would take care of the rest ... and see that the seed that I plant will grow and someday He will Harvest a great and wonderful harvest ....

what a simple thought for a young child who trusted so completly in her God ...

and now here years later I have a chance to spend some time with her and again .....


that wonderful old hymn ... she is humming along as she works ....

I say to her .... I see you are still planting ....

she looks at me and smiles as she thinks back to a promise God made to her many years before ....

and as long as breath allows she continues in her mission ....

may I for just a minute join her and hold up her arms in her great quest ....

Jesus loves you ... this I know ... for the Bible tells me so .....
Little ones to Him belong ... we are weak ... but He is strong .....

I hope this day finds all at peace ...

I truly hope and pray that each one has a great day. Amazing times we live in .... the events of the world turn on a dime it seems. There appears to be renewed hope in the secular world with this recent election. I hope things do get better.

Just wanted to pop in and share a portion of a devotional
....I just feel someone may enjoy it .... take care ...

You ask, "Where is the sanctuary of God?" It is where, with reverential fear and awe we bow with contrition of heart and brokenness of spirit, and through prayer MEET GOD! It need not be a church or home or any place in particular. It's when we come in child-like faith, lifting up our hearts to HIM...HE MEETS US WHERE WE ARE! What an incredible blessing HE has provided for us to enter into the "very presence of God." But what happens when we meet God? In His presence, God speaks to us through the Holy Spirit who dwells within each believer. He gives us HIS perspective, and an understanding that HE is in control. He will cause us to lift our hearts in thanksgiving and praise as Paul--"Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ, and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him" (2 Corinthians 2:14). We "see through a glass darkly"...we "seek to know" from our finite reasoning...we endeavor to walk in the confines of our limited vision. God simply says, "Fix your eyes on Jesus" (Hebrews 12:2). When situations cause us great concern, we must realize, this "thing" is so strong I cannot handle it, it has come between me and God. THEN is when we need to meet God in the sanctuary. He will meet you and enable you to say with Paul, "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us" (Romans 8:37). FOCUS ON CHRIST!

My mother died siddenly last Saturday and the funeral was on Tuesday. She is at peace, awaiting the ressurection of the dead.
I ask you all to take some time to meditate on the love you share with others and how it enriches your life.

Twogooddogs--that was a lovely way to start a day. I saw it this morning, just as I was about to rush out the door.

It was a gentle reminder to me. I get too involved in the small stuff. Starting this day this way, was wonderful.

Seeing the veterans in church was so moving--seeing the tears in their eyes almost made me cry out loud. One of the men was 17 when he enlisted. A baby really. Now he is old and uses a walker, but struggled to his feet and stood straight as we sang "Oh Canada". Very moving.

((((Susan)))) I can totally respect someone who doesn't agree with me on everything--or most things for that matter.
You have never been bullying, rude, name calling--just had a different opinion, and that is fine. Please don't give it another thought.:-x

Great read, Andrew. There are so many wonderful things about this world that can only be explained through the existance of God. A scientist knows so much more about creation than we do because they dig so deeply into what man is, physically. But our physical existance begs so many questions about our spiritual existance. Our spirituality demands a belief in God and Jesus is our great teacher.
