Hi nikki , hi Julie.
Hope your summer is going well. Waves to the few who venture by and lurk in.
Was thinking this evening on a saying that is most precious in the Bible. In the King James and Darby versions it is found in three locations. "I have loved thee" Isaiah 43:4, Jeremiah 31:3, and finally Revealation 3:9.
In these verses are found some of the tenderest thoughts of God towards His people. The first two especially. If we carefully think upon the fullness and greatness of God, the words He uses in these verses become emense in their meaning to us. For those to whom God has directly spoken to through these verses they are forever changed -humbled in His presence and raptured in His love. Only a real and Living God is able to have that effect upon a human soul.
But look carefully at what He is saying: - we are precious in His sight (it does not matter which dispensation nor which group of God's people, the words are the same). Beauty is truly in the eyes of the beholder - we have nothing to add to the matter - it is He who finds us precious in His sight. It is He who has expressed the love that is everlasting and He who has drawn us with lovingkindness. These attributes of God although expressed in human form are still His to show or shine upon us. If for a moment we could grasp the enormity of the meaning to these words, our hearts will melt before Him.
Isaiah 43:4
Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
Jeremiah 31:3
The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
Just wanted to share some thoughts this evening. Have a most blessed day everyone.

ps: if you really want a treat use one of the online Bible sites and look up verses which use the word precious in them (in the King James it is 72 seperate verses). Read through them slowly and allow God to sort them out in your mind.:-x
