Thank you, TOB - I appreciate that. There are lots of times I think - meh!! what's the point? do people really read this and get something out of it? . . . then I remember "To the whole world you may be just one person, but sometimes you may be the whole world to one person" . . . or something like that. . . I'm a believer in 'if I can touch even just one life and lift them up and encourage them along the way . . .' - I'm happy.

Just an update on FIL. He had his cancer surgery yesterday on the bowl. At mid evening he was up and walking round the ward. God is good. !!!!!

Oh, mocking world with your laugher and scorn
That plows the old flesh with nettle and thorne
When I speak of my Lover and His power to save
You trample on the blood which He freely gave.
Yet yonder, His mansions I see Him prepare
I know my Redeamer awaiteth me there.
And oh wicked flesh when you rear your old head
From His presence into darkness you would lead me instead
Away from the peace and the joys of His hand
You would lead to sorrow in this desert land.
But then teasures from Glory with me He will share
I know my sweet Savior awaiteth me there.
And now cruel deceiver who would often accuse
My failings before Him, whose name you abuse
And sets the old snare to tangle my feet
To take for your pleasure my life to defeat.
Yet still on His throne He sends His sweet care
I know my Dear Lord awaiteth me there.
And there in its coldness awaits the cruel grave
To claim for its own the body He gave
But I see the greeen pastures with the lilies so fair
I know the great Shepherd awaiteth me there.

May the Lord comfort and keep thee. The time is short , the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Only a fool would trust that man can solve the problems of the world.
