TOB--sure hope your Mother gets to make the trip! The thought of it is probably helping her to get through her treatments--counting down--only two until she sees you.

Christine--We eat usually between 7-8--it is our favourite time of our day. In summer we really love catching up with each other's day, sipping a little wine and enjoying the view. We feel like such blessed people. Tonight we were a little late, my sister and family had dropped in and we were having such a great visit we lost track of time.

Speaking of blessing, you may have seen me post about my kids. They all took very crooked roads indeed, and DH and I wept tears, prayed and prayed, and had many sleepless nights. One gave me the worst day in my life, one we turned out, one we thought we had lost forever. This is all in the past, this Father's Day we were counting our blessings at how they eventually found their way. DS just won an award that meant the world to him and we expected he would hang it in his office. He sent it to his Dad for Father's day and told him he would never have had any success if it had not been for his DDad's guidance. DD's have found their way, have married men that are blessings to have as SILs. I just wanted to say to any parents, especially Dad's who are not having a good day--don't ever give up. Miracles happen.

Awwwwwwwwwww Nikki....you're not suppose to make me cry first thing in the morning! 😉 Thanks so much for that post about your kids. I am struggling so much with mine right now I can't begin to tell you (I wouldn't on here anyway, as I'm sure it would come back to haunt me). Whereas I usually am one so full of hope for other things that are going on in my life, I am so unbelievably overwhelmed when it comes to both of them and the choices they have made for their lives. I'll keep hanging in there and try not to give up.

T-O-B--I am not joking, I can't put it all in a public forum, but when I meet other mothers who are going through a rough time I can honestly tell them--you can't tell me anything about your children that would shock me. Been there, done that, have the scars.

This was not "she should study harder" "Oh I hope he makes the team" "I don't like her hair" this is really heartbreaking, turning backs on all they were taught, tightrope-walking stuff. Miracles happen, don't give up.

Christine is right TOB, live your life, you are entitled to all things good, when they happen, enjoy to the fullest. Just keep doing what you are doing and hanging on. Miracles happen.
