Good morning all. It is another beautiful day here in the GTA. Welcome Iamontoyou.

Thank you for your story last night Nikki, I enjoy hearing about 'nice' people. Last Wednesday morning I went for my weekly blood test. There were quite a few people there and it was going to be at least a 45 minute wait. While I was debating about staying, the lady behind the desk offered to take my card and check me in when my turn came up. It was lovely - there is a little creek/path behind the building and I had a peaceful walk instead of sitting around. I did feel blessed.

Nancy, that is a lovely story. Finding peace anywhere near a hospital or clinic isn't always easy. I am so glad that the receptionist was thoughtful, and that you took the gift she gave you and had that peaceful walk. Hope the test results were exactly what you hoped for.

Yes, my BIL is one of the nice guys. Apparently, not in his youth--a bit of a rip snorter--a legend in his own time--but really a good guy now. Not a Christian, in fact an atheist. I have to laugh, because on Christmas Eve when I am stressing about the number of guests coming Christmas Day, and who needs to be picked up at the Ferry and the Airport, making lists, doing the desserts, you can find him in a little church near us at the carol service--singing in his beautiful baritone voice. Life can be truly odd.

DGS 4th birthday today. We are off to set up the tables, that thing kids jump in, and the canopy in case it rains. DD invited 20 guests--most of them under 5--Many of the guests (and dear birthday boy) have behavior issues. Accckkkkkk! I am much too old for this.

I will be thinking of you today and will ask God to spare you a little extra patience. Obviously your daughter doesn't think you are too old - which I would think is a compliment.

The last test went well. Not perfect but better results than before - I may still be in the tunnel but thankfully there is a bit of light now.

Technotigercat hello again. Interesting cat-healing LOL picture you posted on the How Has CTS Enriched Your Life thread. I am sure the Christians with senses of humour might find it funny. Or not. Always a bit daring to post something opposite of what you believe, in the face of those who do. I admire your courage.

Survivornikki I just wanted to say what a nice person you seem to be. I have followed your posts here on CTS especially on this thread. I just feel that when someone goes above and beyond the call of kindness like you do, their efforts should be appreciated. Thank you.

Whatever happened to midlife*mom? She posted here like gangbusters and then disappeared. I liked her - Classy lady.

Hey Iamontou. I guess you don't know me very well. LOL!!!

I very much believe in the power of healing through the spirit. My journey connecting to God through Christianity has been a very interesting experience. I directed programs in the Church and was on a Church Board of Directors for a number of years. I so totally admire those people who has found the connection to God through the practice of their respective religions. I have the privilage of knowing some wonderful individuals who are practicing Christians.

For me however, I found that belonging to an organized religion, did not completely answer all the questions that I had. My connection with God or Creator has come about through integrating a lot of what I was taught through Christianity, the teaching that I have recieved from Native Medicine People and what I have been shown through my spirit guides.

I hope that that gif that I posted on that thread will not be taken the wrong way. My focus has always been to bring a smile to peoples faces. Hence, I attempt to tell silly stories. If per chance, that gif has insulted anyone on the boards, I offer my humblest of apologies. <>

iamontou--thank you, that was a nice thing to say. I have found on CTS there are many kind people--they just humble me. When my GS was diagnosed as autistic, I got such help from CTSers offering their knowledge and time, I could not believe it. I casually posted one night that I was out of books and 3 different posters asked what kind of books I like--they were going to send me some.

Don't worry when you post, just post when you can. I think many of the posters on CTS don't always have access to a computer, or have busy lives and have to just fly by. Its all good.

I hope MLM will feel free to post again. Two particular posters were making her life pretty miserable. I know she felt let down because I did not address them on this thread. I just wanted one thread not to end up a horrible bickering mess that they seem to enjoy and chose to just ignore them. I don't know that was a good choice. Actually posters offered to debate them off this thread, but that was not good enough for them. I emailed her about your posts iamontou. She read them, and was glad to see them.

She has just packed her lovely DD off to Carlton this weekend. Other parents will identify with this--cried on the way home, then when she came home faced DD's empty room and had the devastating realization that they are never truly home again. She is such a good writer, I am hoping she will turn this weekend into an article--I am sure it will touch many people.

MLM, I know iamontou is not the only CTSer who misses you.

Foggy and cloudy here--DSis was planning a BBQ for her DD who leaves tomorrow for NYC. She is at the American Academy for Performing Arts. A long way from Victoria. She has just phoned to find out if I have an M&Ms lasagna in the freezer-yes!! She has 1, I do, so it will be lasagna tonight, she has blackberries, and lots of rhubarb, so we will do a crumble instead of the ice cream sundaes she had planned.

Summer was very short here on the West Coast.

Hope the CTSers who are trying to get together this month reach each other and plans all work out. Reminder: I want details!
