Hen you're a laugh riot. What brought you back to this thread was to slam April as if doing so on a million other threads wasn't enough fun. She's a human being and you owe her an apology as any gentleman would. Thanks - I'll keep a lookout for the creepy rock-dwelling things since they are so easily spotted.

Ramona no need to apologize. Most Christians I know are the funniest people with great senses of humour. I just think you have to be careful with intent when posting anything with a double entendre though. I don't know you every well that's true but religious infighting - as suggested by your cartoon - usually breeds bad blood. You may have meant well but obviously some rock-dwellers who posted after your cartoon apparently felt it was like giving them license to Christianity-bash because of it. Just an observation. Best to you as you practise your faith as well. I like that would practise since none of us will ever get it completely right. hahaha

Survivornikki thank you for your insightfulness about midlife*mom. When I first posted here a few weeks ago, she sent me a beautiful message and it meant a lot since I was royally snubbed at the time on another "religious" thread here. I think what people do in anonymity behind the scenes and not just to save face on a chat board is what shows true and admirable character. I hope she comes back. I can see how the rock dwellers relentless attacks can prove tiresome.

I spent the day with my girls. We went swimming at the rec centre and I treated them to Dads home made pizza. Don't be impressed - it's the only thing I made from scratch. Surviovorkikki M&M Meats is a single dad's best friend. hahaha

Enjoy the evening ladies. School starts tomorrow so I have to go pack lunches.

Ralphie, enthrall me with what you 'think' my so-called agenda is. But in the meantime here’s how I look at it……I have an agenda, a big one, with anyone who would preach ‘their’ hate filled ‘agenda’ that people of another belief should be shunned and murdered. This includes the subtle and convenient use of ancient scripture to promote these things for their own misguided and pathetic hate. As well we can include those who would say that just because of a person’s beliefs that they are should be discarded like dust on their shoes and also they are called… swine. (last time I looked that was a pig)….sound familiar?

Now no one from my beliefs has EVER called for the shunning or murder of Christians and neither have they called Christians dust or swine…..so if you can use a momentary blip of thought, you tell me who is bigoted, prejudiced, fill with hate and in need to Control others. I have said a thousand times in here, again and again (but you nonetheless keep saying just the opposite) ….. I have Nothing against Christians or Christianity. Where my problem lays is with the fanatics who would preach their hate in the Christian community. In just about every religious group on the planet you have embedded within them the fanatics. Even in Christianity they exist and that has been shown in real life countless times. However the fanatics the public most often notice are well known ‘celebrities’….who would for example say that gays are the background cause of 9/11, or calling for the assassination of the leader of another country. However still the other more quiet and insignificant fanatics are still there in the shadows of everyday life and given the right moment they equally take the opportunity to spew their fanaticism. I would also have a major problem with similar words of hate coming from other religious beliefs who would condemn people for the sole reason of what they believe….yet the beliefs of these others harms them in no way, except in their twisted indoctrinated minds.

So when someone starts promoting in any way, the shunning, or murder, of those in my group of people …simply because of what we believe….then you bet I don’t like it and will Never have any use for that type of person, because in the end all they are out for is control over others by any means available to them. Equally if anyone called for the shunning, murder, or hate towards Christians in general I would defend those who are innocent Christians as I would defend my own.

So you want to know my ‘agenda’….it’s against fanatics, against hatred, against bigotry and prejudice…..and that’s the way it will always be. Done deal.

Why bring up Falwell or any other TV Evangelist or so called leader and use their perspective to blast Christians? I am not a Falwelian. I am a Christian. I follow Jesus, not Jack Van Impe. Billy Graham, although one of the greatest Christians leaders since Moody, I don't agree 100% with in some areas.

My mistake, - you don't have an anti Christian agenda. You only have problems with people who actually know something about the bible.

Julie my dear friend, I wish you would come back. I vote for Liz's "ignore button".

I know you are concerned when false things are said, when things are misrepresented (personally am biting my tongue bloody) and you feel Christianity is being attacked. For this thread, let us all let that go. Let this be a thread all are able to drop in and read what our brothers and sisters are doing, who needs a hug or a prayer, when someone is having a good day, how can we help each other...we can all leave the other stuff at the door. For anyone who can't, just skip those posters don't let the argument rage. Most really negative posts reveal the poster, and no replies are needed.

Your writing is so beautiful--it was always a good day when I came on and saw a longer post by you. You have a great sense of humour and I miss that very much.

Ralph, I know from the bottom of my heart you are sincere and you too try to "right" misrepresentations. I could be wrong, but some posters seem far more interested in a raging fight than honest debate. Again, let's leave it at the door--if they really wanted an honest discussion they would start a thread, like it has been suggested many times.

Personally, I would really like this thread to be a place I can "see" some of my favourite posters, and meet new ones.

Do other posters here feel the same, or is it just me?
