And like every other denomination, there are extremes and different interpretations - and you just learn to accept the diversity God has blessed us with and the free choice/thinking He has given. I still don't like that "required for salvation" stuff - it's that attitude that gets one totally discouraged. The only "requirement" for salvation is acceptance of God's gift of salvation. Everything else should be a product of this acceptance - you do it because you love Him and what He's done for you - no need to earn points.

Hmm...don't know why my post to Laurie didn't show up...

Anyway, Laurie, I liked The Journey, haven't read the Sheets book yet, and am unfamiliar with the others you mentioned. But I recommend "He Still Moves Stones" by Lucado. I'm reading it now...fabulous!

MLM, I haven't read "The Christ Commission" yet but I've read three of his other books and really enjoyed them so I'll have to check at the library to see whether they have the one you mentionned.
