Morning Nikki and all,

Good to see you here. We are well and happy at this house. Tuesday nights are quiet here as it is watch TV (Bones & House) with hubby and the cats time. It is nice to spend lazy time with him - don't get enough of it!

Prayers requested again for my Mum.

Her appointment at the cancer clinic this week was not so promising. Her chest xray shows 'changes' from the last one....they are not sure if it is scar tissue from all of the radiation to her chest or if the cancer has returned. After 15 years of fighting this horrible disease I'm not sure how much fight she has left.

She is waiting for another CT scan.

It's a new day.

Good morning, Nancy. TOB - your mom and you are in my thoughts & prayers ... as is everyone on this board.

I was at a prayer meeting last nite - and I wrote down the following quote - I didn't catch where he read it from.

Prayer is the answer to every problem in life. It puts us in tune with Divine Wisdom which knows how to adjust everything perfectly. So often we do not pray in a certain situation because from our standpoint, the outlook is hopeless. But nothing is impossible with God.

Mark 10:27(NKJV) But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”

I'm reading that line again - 'prayer is the answer to every problem in life'.

Over and over - that has been proven to me. I just read an e-mail from my daughter and I'm just bowled over by her faith and how God blesses her for her faithfulness.

While we were chatting one night, I half-jokingly asked her 'Hey, do you want to donate to N___'s orphanage project in India?' Then we continued on to other college-life chat - 'we're skipping the 'Jacaranda Ball', too much money for just another excuse to dress up, put on make-up and eat gross-tasting gourmet food, besides we're stretched thin from having bought those 'round-the-world' tickets. Grad's in 3 weeks, etc, etc.' I thought nothing more of the conversation.

Then I got an e-mail a few days later. . .

oh. so....i've been praying about it & talking with josh about it...and you can take $1000 out of that money that doubled & give it to India. that would be good.

its a good test of faith for us right now...cos we've been worrying about money (in the future) lots lately & we've been reading lots about it in the Bible & been praying that we won't worry about it. God will take care of us. so yah.

(I've been investing some money for her - it's hers, but she's still into the proving my independence mode.)

Well, I now got this message . . .

'josh got work! remember me telling you josh was feeling pretty stretched thin over these holidays, especially with the big trip and all....and we're trying to pinch our pennies for the future....and how giving that $1000 was faith money???????
well......the next day josh got a call from the school that he did his practicum at..and he has 3 weeks full time work coming up! thats $3000! not too bad eh? its pretty exciting.
ANNNDDDD...that means that josh has to leave his current job at marketing - so hopefully next week i'll do "training" with him and i'll have more work while he's teaching. not to mention as much work as i need next year. ! its real good.

God is good. . .all the time!!!

So now, maybe I should go do some faithbuilding myself. Have a good day everyone.

i just had to post this please go to godtube.com and look for the lifehouse everything skit video , it was so moving.it brought me to tears ,i hope you go check it out .god bless !!!!!

Those are very expressive dancers, a littlefaith4you. It must be especially moving to the teenagers in a congregation. Very poignant especially when you are old enough to know some children who didn't make it back.

It is a poignant time of year. Remembrance Day, Veteran's Day, whichever it is called where you live--I find it so moving. There is a chapter of a Veteran's group, the last chapter left in Canada now is in Victoria, that is made up of veterans from the World Wars and the Korean War. There are no 1st WW I veterans left in the group, and the group is down from 100 to 22. In past years, they go down to the Cenotaph at midnight so that when the sun comes up on Remembrance Day, the first observed wreath is from them. Many of the are decorated war heroes, but none wear medals or displayed their ranks. On this day, they are all equal. For the first time, they had to lay the cenotaph wreath in daylight. The darkness is too difficult for them---their ages range from 75-91. I had never heard of them. Our local paper did a story.

Thank you to all who have served and are serving. I think most of us will never know the price you pay.

Yikes--prayers for all of us in the west. We were here for our local "storm of the century" and this is worse. Our little herb garden, been here for years, is full of salt water--my flower pots are gone--our path to the beach is crammed with logs. Our neighbour has someone's boat in their yard. The little garden I put the lilac grown from a cutting from my Dad's lilac--gone. Water right up to our patio. The sea is raging and the water is coming higher and higher although the tide is supposed to be ebbing. Power on and off. Don't mean to be too dramatic--my house is not going anywhere, but I am afraid for one of my neighbours' home down the beach.

Stay safe and warm all.

Morning, Fellow CTS-ers! I took my month or so break (acutally, it was longer...I haven't been on here in a month), and I thought i woudl slllllllloooowly start posting. I tried a new ID, but things have changed around here, and you have to have an FB of 10, or you will have limited # of posts. Oh well...sooo...yah, it has bene over a month. Anyway...i am on FB ALOT, so I am not sure how much i will be here.

How is everyone doing? i have lurked alot..so i am sort of in touch..but not really. I see that the Christmas card thing is going on again. i misse dout this year..SS, i mean. oh well. "Blessed are the Flexible, for they will not be bent out of shape."
