For quite a number of years I had the opportunity to study the Bible comparing scripture to scripture and some of the interpretations of the Bible I still remember.

When Jesus goes to ascend into Heaven He says "what is it to you if he remains until I come again?" with respect to the beloved disciple, John.
Tradition puts him on the island of Patmos. Patmos is also mentioned in the book of Revelation written by St. John the Divine. Some feel they are one in the same, others not.
