Somewhere on this board is a thread asking if there is hope for this world. I felt it safer to post an answer here. What we need Is passion like the following (I snagged it from my daughter's myspace "About me"):

my frustration is that we have drifted into a comfortable and lazy Christianity, which fails to be any Christianity at all, for as far as I know Christ was neither of those things.
"What is, therefore, our task today? Shall I answer:'Faith, hope, and love'? That sounds beautiful. But i would say - courage. No, even that is not challenging enough to be the whole truth. Our task today is recklessness. For what we Christians lack is not psychology or literature...we lack a holy rage - a recklessness which comes from the knowledge of God and humanity. I had a nice long convo with her the oher night and she told me to go to her myspace & read that. I thank God everyday for her, because aside from the Bible, she inspires me and provides me wih encouragement, spiritual strength & renewal of faith.
