New Logo?

Has anyone else noticed the new solid red ebay logo?  Multi-colour is still on the Community screens but everywhere else it is solid red.

Good for Canada Day but otherwise it looks like an off-shoot of Target.

Hmm.  I thought it might be some sort of acknowledgement of Remembrance/Armistice/Veterans Day, etc. but while the logo is red on most of the other eBay home pages I checked, it isn't on the UK site.

Guess I'll have to wait to see if the logo remains red a day or two from now.

According to one of the US reps, it is red for Christmas.

I noticed it a few days ago but I doubted my memory as to how long it's looked that way. I prefer the multi-colour version as it has some life to it; if they wanted to spruce it up for the holidays (pun intended) I'd have added some holly or a tree to it, or make the 'b' an ornament. Something more cutesy than plain red. See? Free design advice.

Yes, it doesn't look very much like Christmas and not cheerful at all.

Perhaps this is a politically correct Christmas logo

eBay is also close to those forest fires in California.....

A bit of holly or maybe some snow on the logo might have helped.
