Hey.
So, I recently purchased a gaming laptop on ebay from US. As shown in the image. I have payed everything including the GST and PST because I live in BC, Canada and BC charges you GST and PST. Do I need to pay taxes again when it arrive athe border? or it is a one time charge? I want to know about any unprecendted charge that can occur.
Thank you
Arsh

EBay charged you the appropriate amount when you purchased and no further payment is required.
EBay does this because under both Canadian and US law, they are the ones who collect and remit sales taxes for the, literally hundreds, of jurisdictions where they sell.
You may have to pay duty, depending on whether your seller is using the eBay International Shipping program.
Meanwhile, mark the last estimated date for delivery on your calendar and DO NOT WATCH TRACKING, unless you are a masochist.

As far as I know, @femmefan1946, the use of eBay's International Shipping service is the only way that Canadians can get charged taxes and duty at Checkout for an eBay purchase.
For what it's worth, laptops are not subject to duty. Canada has had no real computer industry to protect since Seanix went out of business in the '00s.

How much do I have to pay for duty? Also, it was said that the seller will send it via USPS Mail but now I got the tracking number and it ships with UPS. Is there gonna be a brokerage fees or anything like that? Shipping fees includes everything, no? Sorry my first time using Ebay.

oh that be great! if that happens cuz I don't want to pay more.

and it ships with UPS. Is there gonna be a brokerage fees or anything like that?
Yes.
There are some archived threads over 5000 posts long complaining about UPS 's high brokerage fees. However since those days, our duty free allowance for US imports has risen to $150 from $20.
Shipping is complicated.
The eIS is an attempt to disambiguate shipping.
Fairly successful, but not entirely.

so how much will they charge me? any rough figure? and also, I have seen people do self checkout at borders? I live close to CBSA office, if anyone can teach me how to do it and it is worth it or not instead of paying UPS that be great.
Thank you

Also, everyone should open an account at UPS to be able to get the advantage of paying fees before delivery when needed. You get a better price this way than a non-client would.
You don't need to ship via UPS; just register yourself with your usual shipping address and email!
