Oh please! The sky is not falling, and it's not the end of the world. The dramatics on this Canadian taxation process is unbelievable! Reality folks , reality! ...
This isn't unique to eBay, this will apply to other large online selling sites as well.
READ and UNDERSTAND the concept before blowing this all out of proportion.
3 years ago the USA implemented its "internet taxation process"...
This Canadian version similarly applies the sales tax to the BUYER's purchase.
USA buyers have learned to live with that, so I am sure Canadian buyers can do likewise.
Accept,adjust,adapt and carry on!

The buyer is paying tax on the sale.
Not on the product, on the sale.
There is no IRS in Canada. The IRS collects US taxes.
You will be paying eBay fees on the sales taxes your Canadian buyer pays, just as you now pay eBay fees on the sales taxes your US, UK, European, and Australian buyers pay.
You are not paying sales taxes on your sales.
Buyers pay sales taxes.
