I'm really struggling to get views on my items. What is your usual view count?
Is it beneficial to promote?

I hear you. Some items can get more views than others. eBay is huge, in terms of vendors and listings, so it's easy not to get noticed. In that sense, promotion helps but the "suggested" rates are too high, in my opinion, so I leave it as a last resort measure.
For the type of items you sell, maybe other (smaller) platforms would be better options.

0-3...but I refuse to pay eBay to advertise my items...it is what it is...buyers either see the items and buy or they don't...

My items on all my accounts are long-tail.
I don't expect any given item to sell within even a year.
However, my items are small enough that I can keep my entire stock, about 4000 items, in four bookshelves and a closet.
I use Promoted Listings at the minimum 2% on perhaps 15% of my listings.
These seem (and anecdote is not data) to bring in Views BUT they don't sell faster than non-PL items.
I think this means PL is bringing in eyeballs.
The sales however, which are higher since I started using PL, seem to come from Viewers who then look at my other listings (and I have a link to my Stores in the Description) and purchase those.
So I get the benefit of PL, more Views, without often paying the fee for the advertising.
That being said.
I do use Best Offer on all my listings.
I send Best Offer to many of the listings eBay suggests- but only if they have been in stock a long time.
- And I put Notes on my Active Listings page so I know when items were listed.
-Interestingly, although these Offers are lower than by own acceptable Best Offer, they sell better.
I list as often as possible. New listings definitely get more Views and more sales.
Most important.
Viewers view.
Watchers watch.
Buyers buy.

In passing-- your titles.
You have 82 keystrokes but the first four words are the ones seen on phones.
So rather than:
Vintage lot of 70-80s jewelry Jade, Marcasite, Agate, Broaches4.7lbs/ 2.1 Kg
Try
Jewelry Jade Marcasite Agate Brooches Vintage lot 70-80s 4.7lbs/ 2.1 Kg
I fixed the spelling error.
And
Yalos Casa Murano Bowl 12” X 8” Purple Iridescent “SIGNED” Vintage
Vintage is a misused word (although you did it right by adding dates) and best left at the end of the title.
All the words are still there to be picked up in Search.
And punctuation is not used by Search

As an FYI eBay put back bar graph vs just area view of traffic. To my bad eyes a much better option. 5 thumbs up to whoever was responsible for getting this corrected!!! 👍👍👍👍👍

You have responded to a thread from early in 2025 and SO MUCH has changed since then...including the fact I no longer ship anything to the USA...I now ship only within Canada...
However, I will do you the courtesy of answering your queries and clarify things for you...
No, I do not accept offers on my items...never been asked for discounts either...my items have always been priced competitively and I am not about getting a sale just for the sake of a sale or through "desperation" techniques, especially when those same type items listed on other selling sites over the years have sold at same or higher prices than on eBay...there is more to online selling than eBay...
I experimented with Promoted listings years ago just to say I gave it a try...made no difference ...but I also don't believe in throwing away $ unnecessarily in a gimmick that engages sellers in a race to get that top visibility just to be thrown under the pile as other sellers clamber for that same visibility. I am a strong believer in successful selling being about the product>its uniqueness, quality, price points, supply & demand, target market....
I do not list/sell on eBay for income...those days are long gone by about 15 years...I do this as a "something to do" in the sunset years of life and to bring in a few bucks whilst de-cluttering home & life of everything no longer needed or wanted and I also donate many many items locally in the process...
My other selling site is doing well considering all things...and that is where my focus is these days...
I do thank you for your concerns...but it is what it is....
C'est la Vie!...
Que sera, sera!
accept,adjust,adapt and carry on!
