Sending offers

devon@ebay  Could you please clarify and address?

When a buyer sends an offer to seller for a multiple unit listed item they are able to choose quantity they are making an offer for. When a seller does this in reverse is the buyer only getting an offer for 1 (one) unit?

Would they need to reject the sellers offer and then send a personalized offer to the buyer for multiple units to get things to work to meet their requirements?

In going through eBay help, multiple unit purchases do not seem to be addressed. Was this set up by eBay intentionally or just an oversight by eBay programmers? Unsure why it would be a good business model to disuade and make the process more difficult  from a buyer or sellers perspective to impede multiple unit purchases. They(the buyer) would/should only need to advise seller if they wanted a revised invoice for shipping otions if they choose to offer.

In 2024, for the offers I have received from Sellers that had multiples available, the Seller's offer seemed to only allow me to buy one item at the discounted price, not two or more.

Does seem like a design flaw in the ebay offer system.

When you send an offer it is for one item only, they cannot, will not be able to purchase a second item at that "discounted" price within that offer.
