Shopping cart emptied

I was paying for a purchase and ebay asked me to sign in, even though I was in already. I went to my cart with dozens of items from various sellers in it only to find them all gone, save for one single item that I had won on an auction.

How and why does this happen??

If they asked you to sign in.... it's because you were not. Or it has been too long since you opened your first session.

And... if eBay thought you were not signed in, that's why your cart is empty. Or mabye someone else bought the item you wanted.

It's indeed possible to add stuff in eBay's cart WITHOUT being logged in. I think you were adding items in the cart locally and when you logged in, it fetched your account's cart. Happens to me quite often...
