Hi, purchased a tool from a US seller a few weeks ago that was not as described (broken function not disclosed). Contacting the seller for a solution yielded no results (no reply). Opened a return case, it got almost immediately converted to a case for some reason. Eventually I asked eBay to step in via emailing support, got a return DHL shipping label, shipped the thing back.
It arrived Jul 10th at eBay in the US and is signed for, proof of delivery and everything. Jul 11th they sent an email stating I'd get refunded Jul 21st at the latest.
Since then, no refund, and emailing support again yields no reply. Spoke to a support agent on the 23rd including social media, and still got no refund and no reply.
What the heck is going on and what should I do?

How do you get no reply when you “speak” to someone on social media? What did the rep actually say?
Also, what is the status of the return when looked up on “My eBay”?

They sent me to the help page, there i got the usual stuff where i can email support which i had already done a couple times and got no reply. Same that time. No reply. Talking to a person live on the phone, sending a message internally inside ebay, no reply to me.

Edit: The status of the case was on hold since ages, now spoke to someone on social again, they seem to have handled it better and I DID just get the refund about 1 hour after that. dang, this took way too much effort though.
