Had message from seller.  needed to reply, but when I did, was told that "something was wrong, try again later."  Tried to just log on, same answer.  So after a number of trys, finally had to demand of the automated system to talk to a human.  finally got into my account.

 

Went to reply to seller's email, was told that I cannot have an answer to a question that's over 90 days old.  I ordered and bought the item YESTERDAY,  the four emails that the seller sent  me back were sent YESTERDAY.

 

After dancing around with a human voice, finally to transfer me, I was put n hold and a technician would be right with me.  Three and a half hours later I finally hung up.  Then I dialed again, only to be told that the offices were closed for the night (as I suspected).  So for how long was I to be left on hold?? until when the offices opened up the next morning???

 

I need to answer the seller's question.  So I guess I will try again in the morning again, to waste my time.

 

Anybody have the address of the head office  - or is that sfely bhind a firewall??

There are very often glitches on the site, I think because they are always implementing changes of some sort. I know yesterday I got a message from a buyer while I was out (saw it on my phone) but when I got home and tried to find the message on my computer it wasn't even showing there. It was still on my phone though so I replied that way. I just looked now (after seeing your question) and everything is normal again on my computer.  Since they've changed the look of messages on the app (year or so now?) things have been a little different I've noticed.

I'm not sure if you were using the app/phone version or desktop - there are things I prefer with each and have noticed many times when there is an issue of any type, one still seems to be working okay (changes don't affect them both the same). Not sure if that helps you, but hopefully everything is normal again (most of the glitches are short lived at least).  I know in the good old days I had a 1-800 number taped to my desk here that was direct to eBay (which was great when I was a new seller since I always had a ton of questions), but sadly that's not worked for a few years now.  Many people here recommend talking to customer support on facebook/social media. Alternatively, if you go to help and contact from the main site here, even if you have to start off with the automated assistant it should (if you don't get your answer) ask if you'd like a call back, it's usually fairly quickly - I've gotten calls back in less than two minutes before, though probably not 24/7.  

Good luck, hopefully it's already been fixed.

There was a problem for some users with messages yesterday. eBay is aware of it and were supposed to be working on it.  I'm not sure it has been fixed or not.

 

According to some users, the messages they sent out were still being received even though they got a message suggesting they were not being sent.
