Hi,
My son and I are using different computers. We live together, so off course we share the same internet connection, I mean , using the same saver. I have my eBay account for 3 years. My son created his own eBay account last month. I recently noticed that my son’s account appeared when I was watching eBay through my own eBay account. Does eBay consider those two accounts as the same entity in order to avoid feedback abuse? I don’t want my son know what I am buying from eBay, and vice verse.
Any idea?
I appreciate your time.
I have three accounts and my daughter has one and we have the one computer. It has never been a problem.
Well I take that back. The "problem" was when I was doing some Christmas shopping for her and didn't realize that she had not logged out of ebay so when I went to buy an item, it was on her account and she ended up finding out one of the things she was getting for Christmas. Other than that, there has been no problems.
As long as no one is bidding on each other's items (if you are selling), you should be okay.
should be fine...providing your son is 18 years of age. Hubby and I each have our own ebay accounts for years without issue.
Hi.. Not an expert but always understood that it was ok to have different accounts with the same IP address BUT there should never be any interaction between as might be detected as shill and banned.
Hopefully someone else can advise further.
