Re: February 13th 2019 Weekly Session

Hello Tyler,

Seems that the screen MANAGE ALL ORDERS no longer has a column to select different time periods such as this month, last 31 days, last 24 hrs, etc.

The "customize" button on right side brings "settings" screen which does not have options mentioned above - the only option is the "NUMBER OF DAYS".

I hope the previous  options may be restored - they were very helpful for own statistics and related analyses.

Thank you.

Inna

Re: February 13th 2019 Weekly Session

Hi Tyler, I see that there is no mail delivery or pick up from post offices

today in the GTA/Southern Ontario Region. This is the second time that this alert has been posted by Canada Post. The last one was last week, now another one this week. I mailed a pkg last week that did not leave the PO until at least one day later and now today my Small Pkt item won’t be picked up from my rural P.O. until at least tomorrow. I live within the GTA even though rural. eBay seems to protect US sellers when there is a storm, are we getting the same protection for us Canadians?

Any closer with a solution for the Tracked USA issue 1 KG to 2 KG?

Re: February 13th 2019 Weekly Session

Hi Tyler,

This is going to be a long comment/complaint/bug report as there seems to be some serious issues at play with the Android App and also the website. Not sure where all this has failed, but some clarifications would be helpful.

Issue #1, US/EUR Fund Listings In "Canada Only Results"

I cleared the cache/cookies/etc on my browser and observed the exact same behavior. At the end of this post I will give you a link to view screenshots as I can only upload a single file here.

Issue #2 eBay Tablets Category - Easy Selector Pulls Results From Wrong Category

In the Tablets & eReaders section there are huge large buttons that invite the buyer to select a brand or, select a storage capacity. If you select a storage capacity then add an additional filter such as RAM amount, the results do not come from the Tablets category, but come from Computer Component category and show RAM modules. This behavoir works on eBay Android and Web indicating an issue with a backend script.

Issue #3 Incorrect Pricing On Best Match VS Available Purchase Options

If you search for something in the Tablet section and let's say a list of options is shown, it shows a selection of prices from new to used. In the specific screenshot on eBay Android, this Samsung Tablet is shown as having a new price of $106.48 new, and a used price of $58.56. However, if you click on that Best Match selection, the lowest used product is $85.50. How is this happening? Is someone's listing being ignored?

Note that this bug is hard to reproduce as it an App specific feature showing "Best Selling" which I have not seen in the Web versions.

Issue #4 eBay App Constantly Changes Prices When Listing To Market Average

When listing in the eBay app, and you clearly see a Market Average price that is wrong an manually insert an appropriate price, many times this price will be changed when you go to list or save as draft. It's annoying. This also applies to Best Offer amounts that you wish to decline. I have not tested this on Offers to automatically approve, but this has serious ramifications if the system glitched and put a lower value on the listing than what the lister originally placed. I was not able to create a screenshot of this, I would need to record the entire proccess of creating a listing and wait for it to happen.

https://photos.app.goo.gl/NgoU4VV1U2U8MtJWA is the link to screenshots I have made.

My concerns are both as a seller and a buyer. eBay quite frankly has bitten off more than it can chew with all these new "features" and many areas of the site look, dare I say "dated". Those "Easy Selectors" where a buyer pushes big buttons to narrow results? Get rid of 'em. Nothing but an eye sore and they take valuable real estate from listings! Plus they don't work.

Rest assured I'm not giving up on eBay, but just making you know that there is some messed up stuff that needs to be fixed!

🙂 Be Happy

Re: February 13th 2019 Weekly Session

Good morning, Tyler. Thank you for opening the thread and for being here to do that.

My question is perhaps one you can take to your contact at Shippo. Why isn’t their site mobile device-friendly? I’m trying to check a billing and my screen is 98 per cent menu with only two per cent viewable screen. And no way to pinch it. Like?!

I’d share my screenshot to demonstrate the problem but the mobile version of the ‘new’ ebay Canada Community doesn’t accept iPhone screenshots as a valid image anymore which is also a serious inconvenience.

Thanks.

M

GTA is Red Alert status - Mail delivery suspended (same for Greater Victoria)

Southern Ontario is Yellow Alert - mail and parcels may be delayed (mail was delivered for me on Feb 12).

Hi @block36 - I think I may have found what happened - check out the screenshots below and let me know if that gets you what you're looking for:

If you expand the 'search' folder it will display some options to find transactionsIf you expand the 'search' folder it will display some options to find transactionsThe 'Period' drop down defaults to Last 31 days, but if you hit the drop down you'll have a number of lookback optionsThe 'Period' drop down defaults to Last 31 days, but if you hit the drop down you'll have a number of lookback optionsIt should include the time frames you mention and a few more too!It should include the time frames you mention and a few more too!

If you're looking for a column in Seller Hub itself, you could consider the 'Days since Sale' one, but I'm not sure that would give you exactly what you're looking for.

Re: February 13th 2019 Weekly Session

Hi @msmaggie060! We do protect your account from weather related events. Most of that happens automatically, but if there's a published outage on the carrier's site, you can contact CS for help with the appeal of most seller rating impacts. If you have any issues with that feel free to let me know!

Hi @lotzofuniquegoodies after your PM from last week I don't have an update I'm afraid, tech is still working on it. I'll see if they have an update and loop back with you.

Thanks!
