When as a CANADIAN seller can we expect to have our own version of GLOBAL SHIPPING PROGRAM that will benefit Canadian sellers with the same level of shipping discounts(ship to Canadian local hub) and item protections afforded the sellers in the USA and GT Britian ???

Hi Tyler,
I want to change my Premium Store from a yearly subscription to a monthly subscription. My renewal date is 01/04/20. When should I make the change? A few days before?
Thanks

I think I can speak for a lot of sellers in saying that we are still p annoyed about the Internet Sales tax pass through on our Paypal accounts that is costing us 3.4% of the amount eBay collects, eBay remits, and we never touch.
In January this unwarranted addition to our Paypal accounts cost me more than 40 cents.
It's not the principal of the thing. It's the money.

Thanks for this post @femmefan1946. Well put!
We too are annoyed that we have to pay fees to PayPal for money that we never touch.
We had 3 sales in Nov./Dec. 2019 that cost us an extra US$0.88.
One sale in Jan. that cost us an additional US$0.78 (tax was US$22.84)
Total for 4 sales is US$1.66 (that's about CA$2.16.)
We plan to increase our listings and sales in 2020.
Potentially these extra fees could end up costing us US$10.00 to US$20.00 or more a month.
For me too , it's the money! We are on a fixed income. We don't need to be losing money by having to pay extra fees for eBay's income or some American states on their tax income. eBay gets a commission on the tax money they collect and remit to each state.
Tyler, how is eBay going to fix this?

Hi Tyler: Just an easy request today. When I end a listing eBay puts up a message that says "This Item is No Longer Available" could you please get that changed to "This Listing has Ended" which is the fact of the matter. eBay does not know if the item is available or not, and stating that it is No Longer Available is misleading to anyone who might come across it.

Hi @Anonymous - there is no plan that I'm aware of to offer a Global Shipping Programme for Canadian members to use to ship internationally. Thanks!

Hi @silverpinups - great question! You'll want to make the change sometime in the month of March. Because of the way the billing works, any changes you make in March wouldn't take effect until April anyway, so whether you do that at the beginning or end of the month the outcome would be the same. 🙂

Hi @gwrocen - currently there are no plans to change the way that US sales tax is collected and remitted.

Hi @around_again_records - that's a really intriguing differentiation I'd never really thought about, but I see your point. Just a quick follow up question (I haven't ended many listings lately): have you noticed that the ended message changes based on the reason you select for ending the item? I'm fairly certain the 'no longer available' blurb is universal but just want to cover my bases. Thanks!

When we end fixed price listings from sellers hub, we aren't given a choice of reasons and I think that the one records mentioned is the one that shows up in those cases. I believe for auctions we have to choose a reason but I haven' run or ended an auction since I've had sellers hub.
I have to agree that it would make more sense for buyers to see that 'this listing has ended' rather than the one shown to them.

PayPal must be loving this. Think of all the extra money they are raking in. Sounds like only a few dollars & cents, but when you think of the thousands of transactions going through PayPal that is a huge amount.
