HI Tyler,

I have brought this subject up on another thread recently. But wondering if we could have the time shortened for opening & closing unpaid bidder cases. I have dealt with quite a few lately & it is has been very upsetting. And then having to wait 4 days before you can open a case & then waiting another 4 days to close it seems excessive. That is 8 days in total.  2 days to open a case & another 2 days to close it seems more than enough time. That is only 4 days. I think I heard that the US can handle unpaid cases in much less time.

Thanks

EBay.ca help is still showing estimated reading time in French instead of English. I reported this a long time ago and came across it again.

Hello Tyler,

I have been selling on eBay for approximately 15 years. Today I went to list an item and was told I was required to have a Business Account to list it. I sell all kinds of items and have never run across this problem before. This does not seem to be something that is covered in eBay help on dot ca/com. Is there an actual list of  types of items/categories that this applies to or/and is it something that is directly connected to Managed Payments? It appears there would be added costs for having a Business Account.

Not really a question. But I did notice that help file

https://www.ebay.ca/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/store-selling-fees?id=4122

has not been updated since all fixed price listings became GTC

30 day duration is still mentioned.

3, 5, 7 and 10 day should also be marked as Auction only

Looks like I can turn this into a question:

Has the file not been updated because Managed Payments is taking over soon with a new set of help files?

Hi @2nd-time-around-jewelry - You're right that .com is a bit different. They can open in 2 days, but still need to allow 4 days before closure. Still, 6 days is better than 8 for certain. Happy to make the suggestion that we align those time frames!

Something I read this morning as I was looking for more info was that, if you do not open an Unpaid Item Case you should see the option to cancel and relist the item appear after 6 days. I don't love this option personally, because it doesn't hold the buyer accountable (by giving them a strike on their account). But, it's 6 days vs 8 at least.

Thanks!

Hi @richardcm - is it back once more? Sheesh, it's the sentence that just won't stay fixed! I'll get it reported.

Thanks for taking the time to get this to me again. 🙂

Hi @lotzofuniquegoodies - this is news to me. Can you let me know which category it was in?

Thanks!

Thanks @ypdc_dennis! I expect to see more help pages about managed payments in the future, but that doesn't mean that the ones we have now should stay inaccurate. I'll review and get them reported.

Thanks!
