Hello everyone! Opening up the chat and we'll begin working on answers between now and tomorrow afternoon. Some answers may require me reaching out to the right team for a response so some answers may be delayed!

Hello Devon,
Can you confirm status of the following 2 Alerts and how sellers affected by them should proceed?
a)Seller has been overcharged for FedEx shipping label (March 27,2024)
Reference ID: ALERT15247
It appears this still happens on both sites on a random basis but because when eBay sends the revised charge there is nothing in the way of an explanation or charge break down. With that break down they would know if it is something they have done wrong or something else totally different. (Also an accounting thing)
example from ca: https://community.ebay.ca/t5/Seller-Central/Fedex-overcharged-me-once-again/m-p/507408#M152792 @rocketscollectibles
b) Discrepancy in the count of active listings in the store where the number of items in store are more (January 5, 2024) Reference ID: ALERT15129
This one has been open since Jan 5. I see regular discrepancies with my own personal listings between what Sellers Hub shows and what my store shows when I check. Some of this may be listings turning over. But when the discrepancy lasts several days or NEVER matches this is on eBay's end. I am aware of another seller that should have approx 525 items in their store but store only shows 502. When 1 listing sells number stays at 502. This is not what sellers are paying for. (It's next to impossible for a seller to go through to weed out which listings are MIA.) (From many sellers feedback to me they've become very frustrated reporting anything to CS or Facebook/Twitter)
2nd example. Because there is no eBay follow up its difficult to know what is causing the problem. Asking anyone affected to just hang tight is not really super helpful.

Do the above situations need to be addressed 1 at a time? Has eBay figured out what causes them to happen?
c) Can this link on ca be corrected please?
Brings you to Taxes and Import charges page. Other promotional seller page links are working fine.

Correct. It appears when eBay tinkers under the hood there is no actual testing done to make sure things are working as they should. (Much more noticeable on ca.) There are numerous links in sellers hub and seller settings that have either been deactivated, give error messages or lead you to somewhere they shouldn't.

Hi Devon,
Can you confirm if Canadian sellers with a store subscription can still list their allotted number of listings on ebay.ca and then use that same allotted number of listings to list on ebay.com as well? Thereby effectively doubling the number of listings?
Thanks 🙂

Hi @lotzofuniquegoodies! For the 2 Alerts, I did look to see if they have been resolved and they both show as closed on my end. If yourself or others are still running into either one of them I recommend reaching out to customer support and you can use those Alerts as references. If there are overcharges that are invalid they would have the ability to submit for credits to a seller's account. Each one of these issues should be handled separately and root causes are not something that is normally shared. For the link I can be sure to get that over to be corrected!

Hi @cgphile! When it comes to a seller's listing limits, they are for any site that you may list on. So if your limits were 1,000 items and CAD$10,000, that is your total limits no matter if you were to only list on .ca or both .ca and .com.

@cgphile Yes you can double your allotted listings by listing on both .com and .ca. That's always been true for store and non store sellers and afaik that has not changed. So if you have a store and or entitled to 1000 listings you can list 1000 on each site. You would only run into problems if your listing limits are less than that which I believe is what devon@ebay was referring to.
