Re: September 15 2021 Weekly Session

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I've been told that multiple times already and I'm wondering what stage is the team at in resolving the issue as this is quite worrying for any Canadian business selling on eBay and having to deal with the government on tax remittance at year end

Hi Tyler,

Just curious to why Canada sellers don’t have all the same store benefits that the US sellers have yet we pay the same price for our store? (Example: promotions, coupons etc.)
Thanks
Tara

Hi @eyegotwhatuwant - I can't speak to pricing, but I can say that the promotions manager is a tool that won't be coming to eBay Canada anytime in the future due to technical limitations of the feature itself.

There are a number of features you receive with a store subscription, even without the promotion manager tool: lower fees, larger allotments of insertion fee credits, and the customizable store front itself.

Thanks!

Hi I hope you can help me.  On my page it says" Your payouts are on hold until you update your account details. Please update by Sep 17, 2021 to avoid further restrictions"

I have filled out everything I needed to and it says: Enter microdeposit amounts but none have been put into my account.  I have called ebay 3 times and each time they say they're not sure why I'm having this problem, they'll call me back but it's been 3 weeks and still nothing

Thanks

Hi @trainman1313 - I'm sorry, but I cannot help with account-specific questions, and that goes doubly-so when the issue is around payments onboarding and registration. Please continue to work with CS on this and request more detail about what is needed for you to complete onboarding.

Thanks!

Is there a way to bypass using MP for funding shipping. MY preference is dealing directly with Canadapost .

Hello @Anonymous! Seller's like yourself can purchase direct with Canadapost using credit, debit, etc. and then come back to add that shipping info to their sales. The only way to use MP funds to pay for shipping labels at this time though, is via eBay's shipping labels page.

Is there anyone out there who ships FROM the US that lives in Canada who can help me

Before managed payments when I used only paypal, I used my balance for everything since It was me that decided how much to keep in my balance and how much to transfer to my bank account, I never had to pay a cent.

I Called ebay and was told that becuase I am registred in Canada I only have the option to use paypal to print my labels from the US to the US, and I'm not sure what to do once I run out of my paypa balance. I can't cross the border on my own since covid, so I can't just bring my packages to the US post office

if I click on the link to purchase a lable, is there any way to use a different way of paying that isn’t paypal, because that’s the only thing that shows up. The personI spoke to said if I wasn't shipping from the US I would have the option of choosing from my ebay balance

Hi @bunbar - right now you can only use your managed payments balance to purchase labels through the eBay Labels platform, which is only for Canada Post Postage (no USPS). I've heard rumors that that may change in the future, but have nothing definitive to talk about there, so I don't want to get your hopes up.

Have you used Shippo to purchase USPS postage previously?  You wouldn't be able to use your payments balance, but if you had a credit card you could purchase postage that way and then pay it off once you receive the payout!

Another courier I've heard used frequently is a cross-border one (like ChitChats) - you drop it off and they take it across the border and post via USPS.

I hope I addressed your question at least a bit. 🙂

@limitedtcg I understand for sure where you're coming from. I wish I could give you a speific timeframe on this but unfortuantly this is all I have. I went ahead and pushed back on it as well, but hopfully you won't have to wait much longer. Thanks for working with us!
