September 30 2020 Weekly Session

hello  i am new to ebay selling a few months and everything was going smoothly- we thought-- we got a increase in listings allowed after about 30 days which at about 10/12 listings a day  we where filling those listings---  sales where slow at first but we got about one small sale every other day now to all over the country -we restricted ourselves to just Canada sales till we can learn all the ropes of the platform --in few months we will add the states to the mix but not until we are comfortable---the problem last nite was we tried to list again and a hold has been put on our account ours is dobo5250-we have only about 375 listings right and only about 30 sales to date --we but like to grow -- we got a #mc010 code sent to us from grace a security person by email- and said we are restricted to any more listings we have in our warehouse about three more months right now at 10/15 a day listing to get out we would like to get to about 1000 listings this where we think we could get reasonable sales -i have sent out two emails both negitive results to ebay and this person grace --we don;t know of anything we have done wrong -but if there is advise so we can correct it to keep going --we ahve tried other selling platforms in the toronto area they resulted in no sales after two months and 200 listings and their fees to list we killing our bottom line -even the free ones resulted in more scam attemps than sales attemps- with ebao we thought we had strated done the path --which we really need at this cov-19 time of layoffs and unemployment ---please help with any advice you can --any more information you need to help gladly i will help give

Provide more choice in shipping this holiday season

 

Hi Tyler,

 

Was browsing the monthly eBay Newsletter and it mentions how other carriers are integrated into the long listing form. Is that in name only and for tracking purposes? Are there plans down the road to include a (base rate) calculator for the other couriers....Purolator, Fedex, UPS etc? For Canadian sellers picking an amount out of the air, especially for sellers that sell an assortment of heavier items, is extremely difficult when you are located in the east and shipping all points west or vice versa. Doable if you are located centrally. Even more complex to ship to the USA. Most buyers need to know accurate shipping before they purchase and rarely will message a seller to confirm. And because of residential pick up and delivery surchases this can throw another wrench into the calculation.

 

My understanding this option has been available on dot dot com for years.

Hi @dobo5250 - welcome to selling on eBay! I'm glad that you've been able to start growing a business here - it's a platform that will let you reach millions of buyers. To that end, there are occasions where we'll ask you for more information about yourself and your business to ensure the safety of our platform. 

 

In this situation the best course of action is to contact Customer Support directly so they can review the restriction in detail with you and let you know what options you have. Hi @lotzofuniquegoodies - information about integrated carriers and listing flows here. As far as integrating a shipping calculator for all integrated carriers, I don't have any information on that at this point in time. 

 

I imagine we'll see much more detail and expanded options when we see the new label platform announced earlier this year, but for now the shipping calculator will remain limited.
