Not sure if I have to pay for shipping / import charges

so I've won a bid recently for 375 USD and the shipping stated on the post is 17.56 usd and import is 95.37 usd

when I payed with paypal, it only shows that I paid for 375 USD

does that mean when the item gets delivered to my house, I have to pay the carrier the additional fees?

It came from the grave @happy_pigeon. This is a zombie thread.

When you purchase through the GSP, you are normally billed for the whole amount, selling price, shipping and import fees at once.

This does show on Paypal as paid to the seller PLUS a separate fee to Pitney Bowes, who run the GSP.

The seller is not told to ship until the entire billed amount is paid.

Do you have a tracking number?

Does it show that the purchase is on its way? (It will go first to Erlanger KY, if the GSP is involved. Then a new tracking number will be given to you to track it to your doorstep in Canada.)

Better late than never?

There should be a second transaction in Paypal where the GSP takes its' own payment separate from the seller's payment.

Was the seller in the USA and using the GSP?

If so then the shipping and import fees will show on your Paypal as paid to Pitney Bowes International who run the Global Shipping Program and nothing will be due when the carrier (usually Canada Post) turns up on your doorstep.
