I made a purchase that didn't go through, so I cancelled it but I guess that was a mistake. Is there any way of paying again for the same item?
You made a purchase that DIDN'T go through.....how could you have cancelled it in the first place?
Check your PayPal account to see if you actually made payment to the seller of the item you are talking about. Then you'll know whether you need to pay or not.
