Hello, I'm trying to open PayPal individual business account.

PayPay moderator advises to fill "Business name" field with my own name  which on the bank card.

Question: will buyer see my real name or eBay nickname  when paying ?

May I ask you what benefit you see to opening a Business account with Paypal as opposed to a personal one?

I have personal account as a buyer, but, as far as I understand, to sell I must have individual business account.

I have been selling on eBay for more than six years using a personal account. As I understand there may be certain uses to a business account, it’s not necessary nor is it required.

Thank you so much for your help. I'm trying to figure out on how to sell on eBay. I was confused by PayPal website: to accept payments you should move from personal to individual business account. You saved my time. Happy New Year to you!!

Yes.

Just as sellers see the real name of the buyer, the buyer sees the real name (or at least the name the seller gave eBay) as well as the eBay ID of the seller and her PP email.

Not the seller's address though, but that would be on your shipment.

Some of this masking is legacy from the days when email addresses were "zexylaydi1956@aol.com" instead of "joansmith2@gmail.com" and some is just privacy and prevention of off-eBay sales.

The customer is sending you real money, doesn't he deserve to know who he is sending it to?
