I applied with ebay some 3 or 4 days ago to cancel out an item I purchased, the seller was willing to cancel it, so long as I cancelled it, I wrote him back to tell him a seller should be doing this as I allready paid for the item and the amount showed on my credit card. Well communications with the seller were not good after writing him one email after the other I received no replies whatsoever. This amount shows up on my credit card statement but not on pay pal and I went into My Ebay and he still has not sent the item or there is no indication of it. But here is what Ebay did after telling me for 3 days to be patient and that the cancellation was pending this morning I got an email from them saying now that the transaction cannot be cancelled, what gives Ebay!! This is certainly not fair, it is not my fault that the seller did not tell ebay to cancel but did to me.

some three days ago I put in a cancellation request from one seller in England, two days ago I got one email from him that says: No problem. "This item has not been dispatched so would you please ask ebay to cancel this order." The request allready was done with ebay the day before I received the answer from two days ago. I have written him telling that I am moving on the 25th of October and need an answer on this, but so far he does not seem to want to communicate, no matter how many emails i send. What will Ebay do now, all it says on my ebay is that "you requested a cancellation and see cancel details" I still have not received a request from the seller who I think should initiate the cancellation and issue a refund.

This happened once before in my memory and caused no small amount of trouble for me. It was maybe nine months ago? Anyway, today again: Withdrawal to Bank Account Reversed for no apparent reason. I actually SAW the transfer in my bank account this morning and while shopping it was 'refunded' aka reversed and vanished. Surely, we will get to the bottom of this. When funny stuff happened to my money, I get a bit uptight. Original date of Transfer was Sept. 2. Money appeared in my bank account briefly today and then was refunded. No explanation. I haven't called Payal yet. My kids start school tomorrow, I've a long evening ahead of me to get stuff ready for them, so I don't know if I'll get a chance to call. I just wanted to warn other users to be alert for this.

I don't know how many on this board are still using Paypal. I have tried several time today to print a Paypal label, and I keep getting an error message 60017, and I can't find out what that means. Does anyone here know? I tried to call Paypal but they are not working today because of the holiday.

Just received this from Paypal Canada.. https://www.paypal.com/ca/webapps/mpp/ua/upcoming-policies-full?locale.x=en_CA Does this mean that as a seller for every cross border sale I make with an American customer I am going to have to pay the $2.99 Cross Border Fee? Or, as I am hoping, the person using Paypal has to pay the fee? If its me that has to pay then this is highway robbery and I've had it with selling on eBay once and for all. Just another cash grab as far as I'm concerned.

I listed an item on ebay and was notified that it was sold. The buyer added extra money so that I would ship to Nigeria??? Checking my paypal account shows no money, but I am getting a flurry of emails from "paypal" saying I will not see any money until I provide a tracking number. I think this is a scam. However, trying to get a live person to answer at Paypal or eBay is almost impossible. Any adice?

Hi, I'm brand new to eBay and haven't signed up for PayPal, since I noticed that all credit card purchases are automatically routed through PayPal. So, I though, why bother sign up as a buyer? Then, I noticed that after having bought two items in U.S. $ (and my credit card being in Canadian $), the credit card company charged a currency conversion fee, tacking it onto the overall price + shipping. My question is: if I sign up for PayPal, can I avoid being charged a conversion fee (U.S. $ to CAD $) for a U.S. listing, which my credit card company was charging me? Or, does PayPal also charge a fee for doing this? Thanks

Hello, please don't take the money to pay the item that I don't submit or confirm to pay the item. one of them is from China a bout the Apple 6. I just look at it and they want me to pay.I told them that i dont want it. and i dont wanted to pay the thing that don't need it.but still ask me to pay. so that is why I want to tell you don't take my money to pay to them even ebay could not ask me to pay to them, thank you.

There should be a button next to my item that I can click,,, that says,,, " I have received this item and am happy with it so pay the guy " so the shipping party can be paid quickly... I notice some of my received items go weeks after they have been delivered..... It's not fair to the shipper of the goods to wait so long....

I paid for a label through paypal but wasn't able to get it printed in time, so I had to pay for it again. Can I expect to get a refund for the first? I did a lot of searching and most answers mentioned voiding the label but I didn't see an option for that on ebay or paypal. I'm hoping this is because something like this will be handled automatically. What's my next step?

for an item not received because he has been a real jerk about it. I have been trying to get him to pay up for a while. He actually owes me for about 15 low priced items by now and he he is trying to blackmail me into changing my feedback to positive feedback before he will refund my money. I am still well within the 30 days after the latest due date. these items are all from shipments that contain more than 1 item. He has just left a lot of stuff out of each shipment. The same things each time. These were things I won on auction. i suspect that he doesn't even have these items, since he "accidentally" leaves them out each time (it's Barbie and Ken clothes and I'm buying 4 of each for my grand daughters and they generally come in separate shipments). Is the easiest way to go just to wait until the delivery date has passed and then try to get eBay to handle the problem by filing for each item? they don't seem to want to do anything until that due date has passed. There seems to be nothing in place to deal with items left out of larger shipments. I'm new to eBay and will not be ordering anything else, now that I see how incredibly - and it must be deliberately - bad their so-called resolution centre is. This is turning what started out as fun into a real nightmare for me. I emailed him and reminded him that I have bought dozens of items from him and have many more opportunities to leave well-deserved negative feedback and told him that he can't blackmail me. And I told him that if he wants good feedback, he must refund my money for missing items promptly. Oh this guy is in China. No unhelpful comments about don't-deal-with-anybody-from-China please. I think I've figured that out.

It should be false advertising. The posted price on the listing is in Canadian dollars. Then when you open the listing it suddenly indicates the amount in U.S. dollars, and the payment is then in U.S. dollars. When I use PayPal, the converted US to CDN dollars makes the final amount 3.3% higher than the advertised CDN amount !!!! THAT SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED !!

I listed on eBay.ca an item for sale Worldwide. The Canada Post shipping calculator works for all countries but U.S. An American won the auction and I e-mailed him the shipping method and $amount. Paypal tells him they cannot ship to his address when he tries to pay that amount.

Change my paypal adress or my ebay adress ? Will I receive my payment if i change one of those emails ? or is it too late ? Paypal hasn't answered me yet. Thanks for your answers.

On the invoice at the top, it says I must change my address or ask the seller for an exception - I presume because it does not have a shipping amount on the invoice since shipping is free. I have contacted the seller a number of times to ask him to amend his invoice, but he does not respond and now he has relisted the item. I have never had such a hassle in all my years of buying on Ebay. I find that some of the changes Ebay have made are not at all helpful and certainly not conducive to business. Please advise. Since the money had been paid on GBP (via PayPal) I got a refund equivalent to 15.91 CAD.
