Recently I have noticed that when I search on ebay.ca, so I can find members who ship to Canada, I automatically get search results for Ebay.com. I have to manually change it back to the Canadian site. Any advice would be appreciated.
Users in Canada and elsewhere are being redirected to the US site when selecting categories to search on the main ebay.ca page or search results page without using any keywords. Avoid searching that way; you can add keywords and search, or else choose the categories using the "Shop by category" links on the left side of the search entry field.
If possible, try erasing your ebay.com browser cookies -- that way if you are redirected again, you will be forced to sign in, making more likely you will notice.
Searches in the US show many similar results, particular if the searcher is near the border or a major port city. Many overseas sellers ship from warehouses there -- or at least claim to. In the US, it is possible to use the "Guaranteed Delivery" filter to find domestic items that can be delivered in four days or less as a way to filter out overseas sellers and their items. Not sure if Canada has anything analogous to that.
Sometimes to eBay.com...... not always
If I am sent to eBay.com I will use my link to eBay Canada, and I am on eBay Canada... my choice.....
