Why is support for wildcard characters being discontinued in ebay searches? The email alert from ebay announcing the change states
"We've made many recent improvements to our search capabilities on eBay that now take into account many spelling variations. This has helped us to offer better search results to our buyers and sellers."
but does not elaborate on the variations. Will a search for the term "America" also return results for "American"? If not, then wildcard searches are still needed.
The email alert states that searches can be made with options in parenthesis (e.g., (America, American)); however this will put many of my saved searches over the search character limit.
