So my store has over 5k items and after taking 3 weeks to convert it from a flat rate system to a shipping policy system (and turned off all US shipping) when the giant cheeto down south eliminated de minimus and I had a spark of hope my sales numbers would go back up once the eIS system was put in place but I cannot seem to find answers to the following questions..
1) Will I be able to implement eIS specifically only for US shipments and leave all other destinations in the policies as ebay rates with CanPost. ie. I have about 35 different policies which change to include insurance rates to cover different sized and valued items, some are lettermail based, some lite and some standard parcel. Will I be able to just add under international shipping a specific line for US shipments using the eIS system?
2) In the last email from eBay about eIS it stated "When an item sells, ship it to our Canadian hub using your preferred domestic shipping service. " Does this mean we are on the hook for the shipping costs for items to the eIS hub or is it integrated somehow? when they purchase the item, i.e. if a user in the US buys an item the label fee from me to the hub is part of their shipping costs and I just print it out or something.

Sorry I just found the answer to the second question, (yes it is included) However this means that the weights and dimentions need to be VERY exact to the hub if I'm reading that correctly to calculate the shipping costs in advance for the whole shipment... the first question still stands though

There's theoretically no reason to disable it for other international destinations. It *should* show the buyer the cheaper of eIS or your own policy.
