That's when you click on the U.S. flag right?
If it says that but you don't show the TRS on .com, I bet it is a glitch. Someone else mentioned the same thing last night but I thought they had lost their TRS for another reason.

it's been for a while now, a friend of mine mentioned it a few days ago but I didn't think to look in my listings at the time.

hmmm probably since June 20th..that's when the Americans lost theirs. On another thread someone is insisting that it should be like this..but that's now how I understood it at all. I'm going to have to read everything again.
I'm going by this from the spring update:
http://pages.ebay.ca/sellerinformation/news/SpringUpdate2012.html
US sellers will also be required to upload tracking information on 90% of listings sold to US buyers within their stated handling time in order to qualify for the Top-rated program.
Because we recognize that shipping services with tracking are considerably more expensive when shipping from inside Canada, Canadian sellers do not need to meet this 90% tracking upload requirement in order to qualify for the Top-rated seller badge, Final Value Fee discount, and the basic level of Top-rated search boost in Best Match searches on eBay.com.

thank you for posting that info, I also thought I had read somewhere that we would keep our status even without the 90% criteria fulfilled. I guess we have lost our ebay people to answer questions, haven't seen one in a while....

As of your last evaluation on Jul 20, 2012, your current seller performance standing is Top-rated
and I'm a power seller and that doesn't show up on ebay.com anymore either....
I know your badge doesn't show on .com on your listings but I'm confused if when you click on the U.S. flag, your seller dashboard says you are a TRS or does not say that you are?
If it doesn't say that you are..does it say why?
07-27-2012 03:50 PM
yes, I am, you just copied the phrasing that I posted saying my standing is top-rated.
07-27-2012 03:57 PM
Ok thanks.. .I wasn't sure if the rest of your sentence about not showing on .com anymore was referring to your listings or to your dashboard. I didn't want to assume. 🙂
I sent an email off to a couple of ebay people...It's 4 p.m. in Ontario though so they might not see it.

pj: I am also TRS and a bronze powerseller. Loss of my TRS logo on .com seems to have happened in the last day or so, ever since I noticed that I had blanks/dashes on my seller dashboard.
There is no reason that this should have happened as far as I can see. I still meet all the criteria.
What happened to our community guide who was answering our questions? I didn't see a time restriction on questions or did I miss something?
Anyway, I would really like my TRS logo back. I made all the changes eBay asked for; I worked hard for it!

Also, read the post titled: "Sold Items still showing up in store on .ca & No seller dashboard"
(Sorry, I can never remember how to link.)

A Canadian seller will keep the TRS Badge on eBay.ca as it is right now.
The new badge on eBay.com will be a TRSplus badge.
In order to have that TRSplus badge.... A Canadian must upload 90 % tracking, provide 1-day handling and have a 14-day return or bettwe.
Canadian sellers will still have a TRS badge on eBay.ca... without tracking and will still get the 20 %. discount
on eBay.com sellers will have a TRS standing with a boost in search,,, but with no badge...
Only a TRSplus seller on eBay.com will have a badge... with an additional boost in search...

Based on my Dashboard ---
I am a TRS on eBay.ca with a TRS Badge only on eBay.ca
I am a TRS without 90 % tracking on eBay.com, but with no TRS badge.
It would appear that eBay has created a TRS plus badge on eBay.com for sellers that qualify with 90 % tracking, a 1-day handling and a minimum of a 14-day return.

The TRS plus badge doesn't happen until September and shouldn't affect us right now.
I am still thinking that removal of the Canadian's TRS badges on .com is a mistake ..I'll explain why tomorrow....I'll do it on the other thread..Top Raters Sellers Status.

I'm not sure if everyone here knows...If you use light packet and print your labels on paypal, you can enter the invoice number on the label as a tracking number (even though it isn't tracking) and it will count towards the 90% tracking for U.S. buyers. When you use paypal shipping for small packet the number uploads automatically but for some reason you have to do light packet manually. Ebay has ok'd this.

Yes and it would be nice if we could enter something for letterpost too! I do understand why we can't but still it would be nice! About 1 in 1,000 letterpost items go astray I find.

I did what your saying with the free shipping and 1 day handling for over a year and yes my DSR's are excellent but then it puts us in a place where aour exposure on best match is nill to non existant ..
what you you recommend for this .. because the way I see it is your just getting rid of one problem for another which means no real resolution

Probably because Light Packet "tracking number" is not a real tracking number and the eBay programmers designed it not to be uploaded before the tracking rules.
Always a design compromise for ebay Canada system and sellers for the eBay USA system design. Annoying in one way but at the same time Canadian sellers have to thank that the eBay Canada team exists to at least get some modifications to the USA system design.

That doesn't explain why the small packet "tracking number" is automatically transferred.Actually, Both light packet and small packet numbers were transferred when I started using paypal shipping. I'm not sure when it changed..perhaps a couple of years ago.
Anyway, I'm not complaining, I was just passing on the information. It would save a little time if it was done the same way that it used to be but its better to take the time to do it than not be able to use those numbers at all.

I realize that some sellers who use letterpost to the U.S. don't have to use oversize..but for those who do...there isn't that much difference between $2.10 + tax for letterpost under 100 gr and $2.48 + tax for light packet U.S. under 100 gr. I guess each person has to decide what works best for them. Of course if you buy stamps at a discounted price, there is a larger gap in price.
(I knew you would pipe in Poco if I didn't say that...lol)

does anyone remember seeing something about business policies where you had to opt in to be able to set your handling time, return policy etc? I saw it and was reading about it and now I can't find it anymore....thanks

PJ, you are right of course about the small packet. I was not thinking. I was thinking insurance and not tracking .. duh!
As for discount postage, it is a great savings around 35% off regular postage. The only drawback is the time putting on the stamps and filling out the white CN22 form. A lot of stamps to put on a package.
If anyone is interested, Google discount postage canada and there is a web site in Kingston Ontario selling mint unused old stamps from old stamp collections at 35% off for stamps in denomination under 25 cents.
You save on postage but lose on time compared to PayPal labels.
Got my plug in for discount postage. 🙂
