I read that there were some questions about the 10 digit HS requirement, so just a quick summary if you have not googled it.
The 6 digit code is established by the World Customs Organization and is the standard for all countries. The additional 4 digits is assigned by the importing country, which further sub-categorizes the goods for their use such as assigning tariffs.

According to eBay labels the format is as per below. eBay labels only accepts 6 spaces. ####.##. Not ####.##.##.## . If search results display in an 8 digit format you may have to enter .## to complete an entry. (Unable to confirm)
Please enter the 6-digit HS (Harmonized System) Tariff Number, which is based on the Harmonized Commodity description and coding system developed by the World Customs Organization.
I believe I tested 10 digit format in the past but received an error message so unable to confirm what other formats may not work now.

I put the 10 digit code in yesterday to be safe on ebay labels and it worked. Was using 6 before all the drama last week

I sold a pack of games to the US back on the 5th with Canada Post and its already out for delivery today. I sent it out as normal with the 6 digit code and never added any country of origin. Going forward i will try to add the COO but ive never done that before so i am unsure how.

Entering the Country Of Origin is easy IF the actual inputted data actually sticks/saves and does not default to home province/Canada

eBay has fixed that glitch, so it should all be working now. All my recent Tracked Packet shipments to the States and other countries have the proper country of origin that I specified when creating the label.

The Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS) sets out the tariff rates and statistical categories for all merchandise imported into the United States. The HTS is based on the international Harmonized System, which is the global system of nomenclature applied to most world trade in goods.

Among classification systems, Harmonized System (HS) codes are commonly used throughout the import and export process for the classification of goods. The Harmonized System is a standardized numerical method of classifying traded products. It is used by countries around the world to uniformly identify and describe products for purposes such as assessing duties and gathering statistics.
You can find everything about HS codes on the above offical sites, all the information is here...
