Hi @steelers6779 - this type of restriction is something that we place on accounts if we need more information. For example, if we see activity on your account spike, branching into a new category, if your account information seems suspicious, etc. This is usually remedied by replying to the email you received with the requested information. That can range from identity documents, invoices for merchandise and overall business plans.
Please work with the team that sent you an email as they are the ones who will be able to review and remove the restriction. Thanks!

My question is why do it during a pandemic? why shutdown my store for 3-5 days thats alot of income lost especially during these times.

not very helpful when there is a pandemic which has closed their call centers...

Hi @steelers6779 - this is definitely a frustrating situation, I don't disagree with that.
We take site security seriously, and it's something that we do around the clock regardless of world events. While this can be an inconvenience, I appreciate you taking the time to work with the team involved to get it resolved and your business back up and running!

I saw on the internet that some sellers are getting flagged because they have a sudden increase of sales. Apparently this looks suspicious to eBay. You would think they would thrilled to get more sales as they make more of a profit too. But no, you have to prove that the sales are legitimate or they can restrict your account. In other words, you are guilty of something until proven innocent not the other way around.

Being a cynical old woman, I think there may be an increase in the number of hacked accounts.
We see these usually when a disappointed buyer comes to the Boards telling us that the "seller" had terrific feedback and better prices.
Then we point out it was buying FB, that the account hadn't been used for over a year*, and if it seems to good to be true, it probably is.
Another reason for vigilance as a Buyer Protection is the sweeps of listings for prohibited goods like face masks and sanitizer. Somehow these have also reportedly been used against some Disney toys and videogames.
I hope you can get this cleared up quickly. Do keep your fellow sellers informed. We may be asking your advice next.
*Bring back dates for FB, dammit!
