Advice on spam paypal message

I just received a message supposedly from Paypal saying  that I had sent a payment to a person in Australia. I checked my Paypal account, but it isn't there.

I have forgotten how to forward it to Paypal, also, what information do they need? It is so long since I did this, and I have changed my mail server since then, and I don't remember how to get the info. I need. I don't want to change opening the link. I use Outlook.

Try spoof@paypal.com  or spoof@ebay.com .  This is where I send my iffy messages.

Fake PayPal emails or spoof websites

" If you received what looks like a fake PayPal email, or you've come across a spoof PayPal website, please report it to us by forwarding the original email or URL to spoof@paypal.com."

Thank you for the help, I couldn't remember the "spoof", I thought it was "spam". I sent it to the correct address and got an immediate reply that it was a phishing email.

Re: Advice on spam paypal message

Somebody forced you to open your PAYPAL account to verify the validity of this transaction.

I recommend to change your PAYPAL's password ASAP.

No, I didn't open the link on the email, I would never do that. I went directly to Paypal to see if the transaction was in there.
