An absurd feedback .....

Did you see anything like that?

A neutral feedback I got from a "0" feedback buyer: "This item was MUCH smaller than expected - but that's likely my fault and I misread size. Other than that great, thanks."

What would you do?

I'd just leave it. I can't see someone not buying something from you because of it. I got a neutral a few months ago for a DVD because the buyer discovered he already had it on VHS (but still enjoyed it anyway).

For most items, a photo with a ruler is never a bad idea though. People may still misread the ruler, but...

A ruler is not a bad idea, but I already sold tens of thousand of similar "small" items and never got such a weird feedback .....

The buyer is taking responsibility for their error and giving pretty honest feedback about how well they feel their transaction went. As there’s no shade being thrown at you, I’d probably just leave it if I were in your position.

I wouldn't do anything, no need to change your practices if this is a rare situation, if it starts happening more frequently then maybe make adjustments/changes.

As others have said I would just leave it also. Look at the bright side that at least it wasn't a Negative, they didn't ask for a refund (or partial) and they admitted it was likely their fault so anyone who may peek to see what the Neutral was will see that.

Ignore it.

Neutrals don't affect your feedback rating.

The buyer accepted responsibility for their error.

An update. The buyer revised the feedback and replaced with "Great, thanks" - still neutral. WOW! And just probably because of that Ebay took my side and REMOVED it! 😉

We’re happy to share that we’re removing any comments or ratings left by the buyer since it goes against our seller performance and feedback policy.

would do nothing...have received exactly same type of feedback many years ago and it never mattered whether the measurements were given in the title, meaurements given in the description and/or a ruler photo'd with the object...some persons percepective of measurements is out of this world and/or some persons simply don't read everything about the item before hitting the buy button......

Thank you all for your input! Basically, you all were ....right! (heck, yes!). Ignoring this feedback would be surely more professional. But - sometimes - some of us (me) still react more like average people, not as trained, professional sellers with 20 or 30 years of experience. Yes, we need to develop some kind of a thick skin to be able to survive in this hostile environment. I was convinced I did ...

I got an extensive help from Ebay on all levels - and it's really good to know, they are here to help if something unexpected arrives ....

I don't understand why it was removed... but I'm glad for you. 🙂

Well .... maybe because there is still some justice at work here ... ? 😃

Yes, I wondered that. I got negative feedback from someone who complained that a calculator described as "not working" didn't work. eBay was no help and let the negative feedback stand for a year.
