In recent times ( The promotion with all the issues) it did not apply to GTC listings and anyone selling items that way did not qualify. For the proceeding promotion - 3 Items it appeared it also did not apply to GTC but have had 2 items sell that were GTC(Not manually relisted).

Can ANYONE confirm if GTC listings apply to this most recent promotion. Personally, the words chosen in  promotions do not make the process of confirming if one has qualified or not, any easier.

PS, I just activated this offer in the past few minutes. It does not appear in Sellers Hub.

Looks like eBay has a post-holiday slump in Clothing listings and wants more stock on screens.

EBay promotions are for the good of eBay. Guess they are lower than they want to be on Fixed Price listings.

Also, do Auctions actually work for Clothing? Except perhaps at the very high end-- where there may be some competition for eBay from the ReallyReal.

It only applies to sold items.

It does include discounts on shipping FVF.

That's unusual isn't it?

It does not apply to sales taxes-- but Paypal will still be charging us fees on money that we only see fleetingly and never actually touch.

That fees listing shows something else.

EBay wants to get in on the lucrative sneakerhead market. Apparently the FVF for Men's Athletic Shoes -> over $100 is 0%.

Wonder if this has anything to do with the Reebok(?) fiasco of last autumn where eBay had to cancel thousands of sales (and FB) when a typo listed high value shoes for a dollar -or something like that.

Similar fvf  promos HAVE included gtc listings if they renewed during that time.  The last promo had some wording that made it seem to me they weren’t included but if you received the discount for gtc listings then I misunderstood the wording.   I would think that they are included in this promo as well.

The promo is for sold items so it won’t appear until you sell an item that qualifies.

Once its activated in should show up in your list with quantity applied including the count down. Having offers act/react the same way each time should not be hindsight. This way no guessing for everyone.

Fvf promos never show up until you sell something so it is consistent. If you want to double check that you’ve activated it, click on activate again and it will show you that it is already activated.

I don’t disagree that showing ‘activated’ would be a good thing although I don’t see why a countdown is needed until something that qualifies is sold. But all these things were said in the last promo and the promo before that and the one before that and so on...   There are going to be people who don’t understand how it works but since we already know, why not enjoy less fees rather than complain about how you feel it should be done.  It’s obviously going to deaf ears anyway.

I'm just basing my points on consistency. It appears every special offer behaves slightly differently going by the confusion each one causes in its writeup. How many folks were sure they qualified for that past offer  from "heck: when it turned out they didn't. It left a large number of sellers with a very bad taste in their mouth and pocketbook. See explanation attached.

"I've definitely made the teams involved aware of the traffic and volume here (that's where I've been most of this week).

I can't say what changes will or won't be implemented, but I'm definitely advocating for being clear and transparent with promotions. Thanks!"

some of these more recent promos are clear as mud...there definitely is a need for some updated wording and terminology used instead of just latching onto a previously used promo and partially re-wording it.
