I make changes to my listing template, click the button to save my changes and it just gets stuck on the "saving changes" popup with the little spinning circle above it, and never actually saves the changes.
It's been like this for two days. I reported it to support and they said I wasn't the only one to have reported it, and that it'd be fixed within 24 hours... it still hasn't been fixed.
Just want to know if anyone else is experiencing this specific issue, because if not then maybe there's an issue with my browser or something.

tyler@ebayI was going to say the exact same thing as ITWM... I can't find the option to use basic/simple mode. Is this a setting we can enable somewhere?
Listing with templates still works without issues. Editing those templates, however, still does not.
Really need this fixed.

I just tried to edit a template and had the same problem as you...spinning wheel. I wonder if it has something to do with being a old template?
So I tested to see if creating a copy of the template and then editing that would work and it did save. I did preview it first before I saved it but I don't know if previewing had anything to do with it saving.
Try editing and previewing it to see if it saves and then try making a copy of template, editing it and saving it.

Didn't work for me, unfortunately.
Something interesting I noticed yesterday, is that I logged in to ebay.com for the first time in a while, and I was able to save the edits to my ebay.com listing template. I thought "whoa no way" so I tried to save edits to a different ebay.com template, and the issue reappeared and I got the spinning circle.
It's weird that it worked the first time, but then wouldn't work after. I haven't logged in to ebay.com in months.

@canada_goose_whisperer - I thought that we had a simple form too, but I may have been incorrect. These types of technical issues are tricky because I don't get any estimated time of resolution, but I can see that more people are being added to the ticket outside of just me, which is a good thing. More people added to the ticket means more pressure on tech to resolve.

Hi Tyler,
Due to the limit on templates I had to delete one of ours to try this workaround. It does not work. This would not be a problem for selling items that required little or no descriptions that are already included in Item Specifics.
That said the problem is huge for sellers who sell expensive one offs that require details not covered by Item Specifics such as provenance. Our templates become "stale" every 6 months and need to be redefined or "tweaked". Not being able to do that is comparable to running a restaurant with only cold water a broken stove and a hot plate (since last November) .

Yes, this is ridiculous. I specifically looked up to see if templates were offered BEFORE I subscribed - and it said they were. Then, once I paid, all of a sudden templates don't work and eBay doesn't seem interested in fixing them. That's bait and switch.

It is happening to me now for about a week. No help from ebay as they always say they will let the technician know.

First time in a while I worked on templates only to have nothing saved. I was using Microsoft Edge at the time. I switched to Firefox and I couldn't gain access to templates. I was given the official eBay "server is down" sign.

I was just trying now too and got the internal server 500 error. That doesn't normally show up, so I'm hoping it's because they are doing some late-night updates/fixes and we will awake to the problem being fixed in the morning.

I got off the phone with customer support moments ago.
I was told their tech people are aware of this problem, they said many people are experiencing the same issues. From what I understand this issue was reported to them yesterday, possibly last night.
They suggested I give their tech team til the end of today and they will know more by then,
I stressed the seriousness if I'm unable to alter existing or create new templates.

I tried changing browsers by installing Opera (and cleared my cache) but the problem persists.
My yearly payment is to be renewed in March. If I can't change and grow as a potential business there will be little point locking myself in for another year here on eBay.

It's already proven clearing browsers doesnt fix a thing. All it does is delete a ton of your personal log-in protocals that are time consuming to restore.
