Got a package to my post outlet a few minutes before 5. By the time it was scanned, receipt said 17.01 "after cutoff time". Friendly PO lady said the driver arrives almost to 5.30pm and it will be fine. I saw the driver take all parcels into the truck close to 5.30.
Checked the tracking and it wasn't scanned at the sorting plant until the next day - even though it was picked up the previous.
Letters dropped off in a box at 5.01 - if picked up with other letters put in the same box two hours before - get taken/processed like they were 'on time'.
Does CP really hold a parcel at a plant deliberately until the next day if the
scan time is one minute over the cutoff time? Complete d**ks if they do.
