It is also "defectless" to cancel due to "problem with address", although I don't know if they have to approve that one or or not, in my experience I do not think they have to but it has never been 100% clear to me.

The buyer can cancel for a very short time after purchase, about an hour, I think.
After that only sellers can cancel transactions.
And yes, "problem with address" and "buyer request" are the defect-free reasons for cancelling.
If he asks for a cancellation after you have shipped , you can tell him you need to have the unopened shipment returned first.
Which can take some time.
I am old and cranky, and see no reason why the seller has to explain to the buyer how to do this.
Here's a fun fact: If the buyer refused the shipment (eg by marking it Return to Sender and dropping it back into the mail) it is considered Undeliverable, and the seller is not actually required to refund at all. But that wouldn't be ethical.
It would be a good idea to add the buyer to your Blocked Bidder List, especially if he requests a cancellation again.
Some sales are not worth having.
