Just printed off a Light Packet label and it now shows postage and looks more like a Small Packet Air form (More Rectangular Vertically)
This is definitely new to me as I did 3 Light Packets yesterday and they were in the old style. (More rectangular but horizontally)
Anyone else experiencing this?

Wow jt, you do have good eyesight! I looked for a number yesterday, but didn't see one. I have good eyesight too, but missed that number. I don't use it for tracking but like to have it for my own records. Thanks!
BTW, can that number be used for tracking or is it redundant since it can't actually be seen online?

It can't be used for tracking. If you look up the number on the Canada Post website, it just says "USA Letterpost" and on the USPS website, it says "Not Found". But I like to have a record of the number on my Paid and Shipped page.

I do not like the new "light packet" label design.
1. It shows the price paid for shipping. This means anyone can say hey i gave you 6$ for shipping but it only cost 4.40$.
2. The label does not fit on a standard 1/2 page sticky label , you now have to cut it out which = WASTED TIME .

I think that the price is being shown to comply with new international mail rules.
I suspect the postage needs to be shown for calculation of duty and VAT in the country it is being sent to. Some countries calculate the value of the item for calculating duty and VAT using the declared item price and the cost of shipping. Using stealth postage (no postage cost) does not show the needed information for customs. Other countries just use the declared value and do not include postage.
Since Canada Post is complying with the new world wide rules for customs information, like HS codes and electronic shipping information, they may need to show the shipping cost from now on.
Even for shipments to the USA using Light Packet and Small Packet. Canada Post is revamping all out of country shipping services.
It would be nice to have an official statement from Canada Post about these changes. eBay/PayPal/Pitney Bowes could at least inform sellers of these changes as a courtesy. An official statement with the reasons why would help understand and accept these changes.
