I am in Canada.  Canada does not have a trade embargo with Cuba.  Why can't I sell vintage Cuban bank notes on eBay Canada?

Because eBay Canada is considered part of eBay USA we have to live by "their" rules. See attached on embargoed countries.

Goods from embargoed countries aren't allowed.

What is the policy?

Sellers can't list embargoed goods or pre-embargoed goods from these countries or regions:

• Cuba
• Crimea, Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR) and Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR) regions of Ukraine (as defined under applicable sanctions)
• Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea)
• Iran
• Syria
• Items from Russia subject to international sanctions

Activity on eBay is required to follow this policy, the eBay User Agreement and all applicable laws, as well as respect the rights of third parties. If it doesn’t, eBay may take action consistent with applicable laws and the eBay User Agreement, and may even be legally required to do so. eBay is a USA based company and because this is eBay's selling site, eBay's rules & policies apply and to that fact anything "Cuban" cannot be listed/sold on eBay...However this policy regarding Cuban products/items is not unique to eBay as this same policy also applies to other USA based sellling sites....
