Coupons & Offers

We are looking into giving coupons to people that have bought from us in the past in case there is something else we have that interests them, but we want to make sure that if we make offers on watched items in the future, that they can't combine with the coupons to get an even further discount. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure of the answer (as to whether or not they stack), but if no one answers you here, try asking on the dot com eBay community. This question has been answered there before, I just can't remember if a coupon is useful on top of an offer. I know it's useful if the item is on sale.

I have sent offers out before and I have a public coupon applied on all my listings varying in range from 5-25%.

I did some research before and they don't stack (and i havent had any one sucessfully stack them)

Here is the link to the terms and conditions of these coupons, and it says "Items that are marked down will not receive an additional discount as a part of a sale. Sales can not be stacked."

Does that mean if I mark it 50% off they can't use a coupon to stack with that sale?

I didn't think you could stack with an offer, I thought it was either or... but not sure. Someone from our dot com forum made a very comprehensive list of what you can and can't stack with coupons and other discounts.

With an offer you cant stack from the testing I have done.

I just added a sale to this 1 item for a 1 day test, and it looks like it took the 7% off and then applies my 10% coupon after that, so stacking seems to apply if your doing a sale and public coupon (not sure about private coupons, but assume similar)

In my case I would turn off my public coupons when I want to run a sale, it would be the same percentage I would run either way but maybe would attract more .com buyers running a sale since the coupons are only usable on .ca But I have noticed a lot more sales with the coupon recently, meaning maybe more people shopping with .ca site!
