I received a defect in 2022 for cancelling an order on a customer for the reason of "out of stock".
I never noticed I received the defect until these past couple of months.
The reason for the defect (but I have no proof) was I already sold my single copy (a DVD) but somehow a duplicate listing was in my stock. To my knowledge, I only created the one listing.
According to what I've read, two more defects and I lose my top seller status. That's too close for my liking.
Am I stuck with the defect or is there a solution?

Defects "only" stick with you for 12 months, you'll just have to wait it out.
I guess I should have added that you can increase the number allowed by selling more stuff, as the penalty is a % based so the more you sell, the more "in number" you can have within the allowed percentage.
