Ok, fees are up a bit in most categories but not all. What just kills me is the email wording:

"We’re adjusting final value fees so we can continue to invest in tools and services to support the consistent, long-term growth of your business." Oh, thank you, thank you!

oh yeah more money to put in eBay's pocket , and less for sellers ...

and who is gonna believe that eBay is actually going to put those fee increases into investing " in tools and services to support the consistent, long-term growth of your business."? haha what a joke!

Unfortunately, for myself those increases affect ALL the categories I list in...albeit those increases are small but even so I am nearing the end of my days here on eBay; for which I have been preparing for over the past year. I will continue selling on eBay for a few months yet to see if I can squeeze out a few more bucks from my onhand inventory, but with more and more of that inventory being donated locally, I forsee my quiet exit out stage left and this chapter of my life will soon be behind me.

Yeah, we are adjusting the fees to squeeze more money out of your (already) very slim profits, while increasing our bottom line.

I think this is very clear for me. Time to bow out and try my luck in other platforms.

Because I list and sell handknit items on another selling platform where they still sell OK during the winter months and where the fees are not quite so high as eBay, I will continue with my presence there simply because my handknits are a hobby I enjoy. I mostly donate the handknits locally, but do offer them for sale during the winter months.

They couldn't even get "Past" enhancements to work correctly or at all...

...as for the fees, it's been like that for the last 20 years, up, up, and away!

Before I get jumped on, please don't construe this as being on the ebay bandwagon.

I do think for large corporations, more and more $$$ are invested in keeping (or trying to keep) the sites secure and safe from hacks etc. I know in my systems world 15 years ago it cost a lot of $$$ and things have gotten so much worse since, especially with AI. So while we don't see it, I think that there's a lot of $$ spent on keeping the site up and running....not necesarily functional things we'd like to see.....

PS I don't like the .35% more any more than anyone else......

The wording always makes me laugh too, embarrassing. “adjusting” could imply raising or lowering. The reality is they’re just raising fees but that sounds worse than adjusting lol. Also “for the long term growth of your business” lol excuse me what? Don’t you mean your business? How does raising our fees help us in the long term in any way shape or form? Over the long term means multiple fee increases cuz they never get lowered. Just sad corporate speak for were greedy and we’re gonna take more from you

This is honestly going to be my last year selling i think. I haven't aquired new inventory in awhile. I'm just sort of liquidating more or less what i have. I'm just too disheartened by all of the negative changes. I sell on other platforms as well and they are just as bad. There is very little money left to be made on my chosen items.
